1Up bike rack clearance?

I'm looking for a rack that I can leave on my 4Runner and was wondering if anyone can tell me how much the rack adds to the length of the truck when the rack is folded up. Thanks.

This totally doesn't answer your question, but if you ever carry more than 2 bikes, I'd look at a Recon Rack.

The one up , even with 2, sticks out pretty far as you can get the hitch very far into the 4runner receiver before it hits the spare tire..

there are some good pics here:

I have the 2" Super Duty Single in Black. It adds just slightly less than 10" when folded up. It's rock solid also with the bike on! Absolutely love it.

^^^^what he said. I have the same rack with 4 trays and haul 4 bikes around. Love it! If I had an extra $300 laying around, I would consider the RackAttach. Bad thing is it adds 12" I think and another 50lbs.

I set a 12" ruler on it. From the bumper to the outermost part of the rack is 9.25". I have the new Equip D rack.

I have a 33" spare. Not sure if you had a stock spare if you could go in one more notch or not.

Can confirm the same measurement as above.

1up Heavy Duty (2 Bikes) - 9.75" with a stock spare.
