Will installing the TRD Pro shocks in a Limited result in any additional height?

Hey 17Jetta, if you are still looking for something cheap, I have in my garage Front struts and rear shocks I took off a new 2014 SR5 4WD that had just under 5000 miles on it at the time, so basically new but been in my garage for years. Can't make myself throw them in trash away. If this stuff would work for you pm me, I would sell cheap.

That is a surprisingly early failure under 40,000 miles. I am surprised to say this, but if I owned a Limited/Sport, I would actually consider an extended warranty.

My 2015 LTD XREAS was leaking and documented by dealer at 90k miles. I purchased longest Toyota Platinum warranty just for this reason. I read that XREAS was prone to go out before 100k miles. Warranty covered replacement.

Hey there. I know it's been some time since this was posted, but could you share any insight on what it took to get your XREAS replaced/removed under warranty? I have a 2016 Limited with around 60k and was recently informed it has three pretty heavy leaks. I have the platinum warranty, so dealer called them about getting it replaced. The service rep said they were informed by the warranty company it wouldn't be covered. They supposedly said only struts are covered. I've seen posts where others have had their XREAS covered without much issue and wanted to know what their experience was like or how they argued their case. The last thing I want to do is pay a crazy amount out of pocket for something that ought to be covered by the expensive warranty that Toyota touted so much during the sale.

Any insight you (or others) can provide would be greatly appreciated. I'm not mechanically inclined, so doing it myself is unfortunately not an option. Thanks!

The 4Runner should never had XREAS on it. It is a body on frame Truck/SUV and they’re trying to urbanize it with the XREAS. If you want urban ride, buy a crossover SUV.
