I fee like a basket would be more difficult to get our crap up there and plus with a future 2.5” lift and parking in a parking garage for work it just didn’t seem like a great idea. Any feedback on the ARB or any other rack would be great.
PS- read the post about water leaks for the no drill racks so other suggestions minus the Sherpa is a plus too, thanks all

There's some recent information here:
ARB Flat Alloy 70" x 44" Mesh Roof Rack LT Reviews?
I'd say the possible big differences between the Sherpa (and other similarly styled) and the ARB are: size, the ARB is really a 3/4 length rack. I believe the Sherpa is available as a full length rack. Weight, the ARB comes in two versions, steel which is crazy heavy (ask me how I know) and alloy which is better but still likely heavier than the Sherpa or other aluminum rack. On the up side the extra weight makes it very durable. With the ARB you also get a "floor" so to speak, where the Sherpa is a series of cross bars. I personally like the floor better.
On a personal note I have been considering changing to a Gobi rack from an ARB basket to get a full length rack, save some weight, and get back a couple inches of height. I have not found the sides to be a negative on the ARB, it does allow you to pack it full right to the edge and you can tie down to the side bars. As far as height goes, my rig at 7'2" to the top still fits in my garage but not by much. Parking garages, well you know, some yes, some no. I haven't found loading/unloading to be a challenge.
