MICROWAVE that works on the 400 w plug

Has anyone ever discovered a microwave that would work on this plug?

Propane stove and some foil, 700 watt is lowest I could find.
Anything with a heating element uses a lot of power

I had an old 400 watt micorwave in my van in college that ran off of a power inverter. It was practically worthless. Too low of wattage for a microwave to be effective.

there aint no updates cuz its a bad idea. if you want to power a microwave you need to hardwire like a 1500w inverter.

Not trying to be a hater, but why would someone want or need this? lol

laughing at the idea of someone sliding a 1000w microwave out of the hatch of their 6klb+ 4R overland "build" to heat up a gas station burrito for a snack

I have been looking for cooking apparatus that doesn't take more than 400W with little luck. Humorously, my mother knows that we camp, and bought us a little mini waffle maker for my birthday--that thing draws 375W! Planning on using it camping at some point just to say I did.

It would be nice if I could, say, boil a small amount of water on that plug for some coffee.

I appreciate the plug being there. In ten years maybe I'll be in an electric offroader that can spit out 2000 or 4000 watts if I want it to.

I worked on the road years ago and relied on a 12V lunch box for hot meals.

Slower than a microwave, works well on 12 or 120 in my T4. Have had a hot sandwich, burrito, taquito etc. on the road or in a snow park. Small, collapsible and easy to use.

You can use heating element below to boil water in a mug to make a cup of instant coffee (Starbucks VIA Italian Roast is excellent see link) and throw in a few very fresh tasting Carnation creamers that do not need refrigeration (see link).

You can also boil water for a nice cup of Ramen. Add hot water to a can of Campbell's soup or make a morning bowl of oatmeal. If you have enough time, you can even boil an egg! ....somebody stop me.

Sorry for bumping into an old conversation. ! I'm sorry you're having trouble finding a microwave that works with your 400W plug. Have you tried looking for a compact or portable microwave? These are often designed to work with lower-wattage plugs, so it might be worth checking out some options in that category. You can learn more about microwaving here https://can-you-microwave-this.com/c...ave-cardboard/. I hope that helps!
