Fog light back covers???

Is the 4runner supposed to have a ‘shield/cover’ on both fogs ... seems to me like there should be ... however I never had both ... wondering if the shop that lifted it took it off one side and didn’t replace?

Especially now that I’ve cut the inner fender well and bumper for clearance

My reasoning is just the obvious and it also looks like the clip holes are there as well ...

Do I need to be ordering a part? Lol

Only the passenger side has a cover. I removed mine to install my BD lights.

Just replaced mine with Baja's. Removing that stupid passenger splash cover was the bane of my existence and the absolute worst part of the install. Do people usually reinstall the splash cover or just leave it off?

I got so annoyed removing it I just cut it off haha. Haven't had any issues since and I pour wiper fluid through a funnel.

Yeah I spent like an hour trying to push the stupid tabs in and finally just yanked it off and it somehow didn't break. I was this close to doing what you did and grabbing the dremel. Didn't even think about why that side has one and the other doesn't but I guess washer fluid makes sense.

Of course when I do Hurricane Creek the whole thing will get wet anyway so may just leave it off

So that's what it's there for!

I couldn't figure out why we had only one. For what it's worth, I removed mine entirely when I installed my Rigid fogs. The plastic covering wouldn't fully engage all of its tabs around the larger LED pod.
