Annoying squeaking/rattle noise

It’s been bugging me for awhile ... and I finally got around to taking off the flaps that I figured were causing it ... and viola ... no more rattle! I started noticing it a loonnng time ago ... right after level/lift kit from revtek was installed.

These are the engine bay shields right in front and back of the shocks. (Really flimsy almost rubbery panel things). At pretty much every clip point, the shield moves against the clip and the frame causing a squeak.

My only couple questions is:

- has anybody had the same issue with them causing an ever so slight rattle driving at really any speed?
- are they even needed?

My inclination is that they should go back on for sure ... but I can’t deal with that rattle they create anymore ... thoughts?

Pic attached for better reference

Here's another possible alternative from the 4th gen side of the house.

The pattern might not be the same, but the Grainger rubber and the tabs are about half the price of Trail4R. Just gotta put a price on your time.

I made some for my 4th gen a while back and they were still rockin' strong when I sold it.
