Does your 4runner pull ?

I got my 4runner lifted about a week ago and have taken it twice to check the alignment. It keeps pulling to the right and every time I take it, the say they have corrected the alignment. I got UCAs to make sure to get the closed specs to factory as possible.

I’m not sure if there is supposed to be slight pull after the lift or if I should take it back a third time?

Not sure who “they” are, but maybe take it somewhere else to check alignment?

No there’s not suppose to be any difference in the ability of the truck to drive in a straight line. Take it somewhere competent for an alignment.

Angry

Well, I don’t want to be paying twice for alignment. I guess I’ll keep bothering until it drives straight

Ive 33 in tires and track dead straight down flat road but will pull right on aggressive crowned road such a small country 2 lane. Test on perfectly flat road or try in the middle of empty road do rule out slope of the crown following since big tires tend to do that. G.L.

I thought about this, not sure where I can find a perfectly straight road here in south Florida but I have tested in different streets and highways and I’m still getting the pull.

I ended up bringing back the 4runner to the shop. 3rd time is the charm !

factory specs aren't necessarily the best specs. more castor isn't bad. they can adjust toe? to compensate for road crown, thats pretty standard.

it should drive perfectly straight with no twitchiness since you have uppers.

Maybe if you can post a shot of your alignment numbers someone might see an area of concern or correction.

Did you get new tires at the same time as the lift? Maybe it's a tire issue. Try swapping fronts from side to side or even swapping rear to front. It's not unheard of for some tires to cause this issue if the alignment is right.

Had a set of Toyo OC M/T on a Tundra I had that would constantly pull right.

Replaced with BFG KO2s and it never did it again. Straight as string.

Mine pulled till I found two problems that weren't bad enough to cause significant problems on their own, but were a problem.

Brake calipers were dragging. The calipers on these rigs are crap. All of them. I only use new raybestos calipers now and they have lasted longer than any of the others.

I also had a dragging parking brake cable. This eventually got bad enough to tell me there was a problem.

Just a thought. Good luck

My tires are KO2s and yes it was all out together at the same time... they didn’t give me an alignment sheet. The checked tire pressures, rotated tires, and put the car back on the rack about 5 times. They said it might the machine and that someone is coming to do maintenance on it next week. They told me to come back Thursday... if it does not work they will credit me back for the alignment. Not happy with the outcome, but I can tell they are trying to get it right.
