No Spring Compressor vs. Assembled coilover?

I have the option to get my new shocks, springs and tophats pre-assembled. Would it make the install any easier than the no compressor method? I can't see how it would take any less effort, but I wanted to check if anyone has experience on this.

Get 'em pre-assembled.

Spring compressors are a PITA at their best, and stupidly dangerous the rest of the time.

If they come disassembled you don't need a spring compressor, just use a jack under your LCA and IT is your spring compressor, it's so EASY!

I have used spring compressors myself I’ve used the no compressor method jack under the control arm and I’ve paid to have them assembled I would pay to have them assembled again. Time is money!!! So much easier just to put them in and be done

You still have to loosen the LCA bolts, take out the ball joint bolts and disconnect the sway bar links either way, yes?

I never loosened or touched the control arm bolts. Just use a pry bar to push down lower control arm and you’ll be fine.

I did the no spring compressor method. 2 leasure hours this morning. Set the bilstien 5100 from 1.7 to 2.5 perch

Front: 37" measured from ground to fender well.
Bilstien 5100 set at max 2.5 stock coils
Rear: 38.25" measured from ground to fender well.
Bilstien 5100, with bilstien 1.5 rear coils (part# 36-281817), and OME correct rear lean trip packer 0.4 (10mm).

If you just push down on your lower control arm and adding a lift your suspension they will be in tension and ruin your lower control arm bushing. You need to tighten the lower control arm bolts after you have weight on them, then you torque them down.

Difference is removing 3 nuts if you dont replace the "top hats"... per side that is. So, six nuts.
