Honestly I just went to the hardware store and started grabbing stuff. I ordered one specific part from Amazon since the hardware store didn't have it.

8x TNUTZ inserts (from TNUTZ.com) that slide inside the aluminum extrusions.

Hardware store:
Traction Board Mounts: 4x 6" 1/4-20 threated rod, 4x Washers, 8x Nuts, 12x threaded rod connectors (screwed onto threaded rods for support... will post picture below), 4x 1/4 threaded knobs.
Box Mount: 4x 1/4-20 X 1-1/2" Stainless Set Screw with Hex Allen Head Drive and Oval Point (ordered from amazon), 4x Washers, 4x 1/4-20 threaded knobs.

Just installed mine today! Super easy installation, looks great, and low wind noise. I switched my trail roof rack with a nightshade one for the lower profile, so now I probably have the only early model trail without a hood scoop and new style rack

I am also interested in the fairing.

I am about to pull the trigger on this. Has anyone mounted lights or a spare tire to this rack yet?

Bought some of these from Tnutz to add to a bracket. The plan is to use a couple of Quick Fists to have a place to mount canoe paddles. The only problem is they don't fit! The slot in the bracket is just a little too small to let the stud slide in from the end, which throws a monkey wrench in my plans. I actually had the same problem with both of these items. I'm probably going to take a Dremel to the brackets to see if I can open them up a bunch. Kinda bummed these don't fit without mods.

Noticed the same thing when I bought some. A little dressing with a file and all is good. Its a shame you have to go through this extra step, but we live in an imperfect world.

Any update of the fairing? When might it be available?

I'm so happy I came across this thread!

I'll be placing an order for 3 crossbar brackets with the fairing once it is available.

My assumptions for my decision are as follows:
-LFD's steel option just doesn't make sense for me in humid and sunny South Florida.
-I think 4 crossbars doesn't add much in terms of utility compared to 3 for such a short span of the factory siderails.
-I have a sunroof so a 3/4 prinsu type rack doesn't add much more utility for me to swap the side rails out and spend double the money.

Has anyone had any experience with the black hardware from tnutz?

Are we now be able to add fasteners to the extrusions on the crossbars with the brackets currently shipping?

Is there an expected timeframe for the fairing to be available for purchase?

The designer @Eitek1 should be able to answer your questions. Maybe he’ll reply to this thread. You could also reach out to him via email or on his website at [email protected]

The black hardware will rust... trust me. Get the stainless steel hardware

Who ever owns NiseRack.com should update their website. When you click on any item is shows that they are on vacation and will return the 3rd week of July.... I was thinking of ordering but not sure if ordering is still active off the website....there is also a 2-3 week processing time disclaimer....

Two posts above yours, you could probably email and ask.

I doubt there is such a huge market for these that he bothered to update his site, I would guess he just forgot, most niche products do most of their business through forums, instagram and facebook.

Fairing

I asked about the fairing almost two months ago and there has been no response. Good luck on any response.

Thanks for the advice This isn't my first go around with vehicle specific forums. I'm well aware of how small vendors work, and I've been burned in the past. I emailed a while ago and never heard back. I was also cautious of the website as it is has outdated away messages, and notes about long lead times. I was hoping people would chime in about how great a seller he is or possibly the seller himself would chime in (which he still may do)... I fully realize it is the holidays and people are busy with family and life.

I installed the Nise rack earlier this summer and was also waitiing on the fairing , got tired of waiting and decided to make my own.

Amazing what you can do with a little patience and the right tools.

I was loking to use aluminium for this but all options I found were very costly and then there was the added work of cutting and shaping metal etc.

I decided to use a nice piece of solid Mahagony 1/2 inch thick and 4 inches wide which was just the right size and much easier to work using a router.

This hardwood ended up being stiffer and lighter than the equivalent 1/4 inch aluminium option. Sprayed it with bedliner and has held up nicely for the past 5 months.
The fairing also totaly eliminated a slight wind noise I had at around 50 to 60 MPH
