Heads up display

Added a heads up display today from Cartrimhome. Great product with an OEM fit. Only took about 20-30mins to install. Only thing I've noticed is that the speedo is off by 2 or 3kms (Canada). Other than that, it is a nice little modern addition to the 4Runner. The pics make it look blurry but it is clear in real life. Cheers!

Here is a vid of the install from another owner.

I have the same unit from CarTrimHome for my RAV4. Hard to detail all the things that it can show. Besides what you list:

each door open
hatch open
parking brake on
battery voltage

I have the same unit from CarTrimHome for my RAV4. There is a way to adjust the speed that it shows; granted the documentation that comes with the unit is sparse.

The photos are blurry because the display is pulsed; your eye filters out that pulse, but cameras can pick it up so it appears not clear.

How do you adjust the speed on your unit? I am assuming it would be similar to the 4Runner unit? If you can let me know I would like to give it a try to. Thanks!

There are several apps available for Android phones that turns your phone into a heads up.
They work well, but personally it just seemed like a gimicky thing, in fact it got sort of annoying after a while.

Great way to test though.

To enter the speed correction mode:
While the vehicle is stopped (0 MPH, 0 kph), long press the "-" button. Then use the "+" or "-" buttons to change the speed correction. When you are done, press the "OK" button.

On my RAV4, when changing speed, there is a lag in the HUD display over what is shown on my dashboard digital display. But when driving at a constant speed, they are the same or within one MPH.

When asked, CarTrimHome sent me a PDF file with detailed instructions, but that file is too large to upload to this forum. The PDF instructions have a number of other settings you can do to this HUD.

I went ahead and ordered one for wife's 2014 TP. Unfortunately CTH didn't ship it in time (sat for 9 days before creating a shipping label) and it won't be here for Christmas. Anybody have issues using this company? When I ordered on the 12th of December the product said "In US stock", so I figured it would have plenty of time to arrive. When I emailed them last week for an update, the message read "Hey Bro..."

I've ordered stuff from them before, it can take a while. Not sure whether they have any US stock, pretty much all of their products are shipped from China.

It actually took a week and a half to arrive to me in Vancouver Canada. Though I did think it was shipping from the US as the site said US Stock...It was actually quicker than I thought. I ordered some items from the US before ordering this HUD and this actually came quicker than what I ordered from the States. Go figure...

My turn signals won't indicate on the HUD unit. Anyone have any tips?

Also for the MPH adjustment, is it one click per MPH once you get into the adjustment mode?
