Just got a 2020 SR5 Prem & want to add a front valance ( Help )

Finally was able to get myself a 4runner and I am a pig in shit. I love it so far. It's a 2020 Sr5 Premium and I am really loving the look of the Black front valance. Can anyone help on adding one to my ride in black or know where I can get 1 on the cheap ? I don't think I want to plasti dip or even wrap mine , I see some adding them and if so is the install pretty easy ? Kind of looking for something I can just bolt on if possible .

I believe you will have to modify the bumper cover on your SR5, it does not have the small slits for the clips to install.

I added a black valance to my 2016 SR5 and it wasn't too difficult. I had originally planned to do it without taking the front bumper off by following this guide.

I eventually decided to just remove the bumper and use a dremel to cut the slots to clip the valance in place. It was super easy because the slots to cut were already marked on the inside of the bumper. I used these clips to install the valance. Amazon says they don't fit but they definitely do.

The bumper removal video that helped me the most was this one.

I know you can get an unpainted valance fairly cheap but I just bought the genuine Toyota TRD Pro valance on eBay for a little over $200.

Good luck!

Thanks for the links, I think I'll try doing plastidip and see how it looks. Probably the cheapest option

I have a silver valance I just took off. It's probably like an 8 out of 10 condition.

I did it on my 2017 SR5P...it really wasn't too bad. I used a oscillating multi tool to cut the holes, and it went really quick. Getting the bumper cover off wasn't too hard either. I'd definitely do it the "right" way over plastidip or spray paint. It'll last better over time and hold up better to rocks and dings.

I just did this yesterday. Was easier than expected. Took about 2 1/2 hrs. Could’ve used a second set of hands to plug the fog lights back in. Kinda had to hold it with my leg while one handling the plug. Passenger side has a shield over the back of the fog light that’s tough to maneuver your hand behind. Overall very easy. I bought an OEM black valance from Bamswholesale and clips from amazon.

Edit: I have a silver valance for sale (decided not to wrap or paint it) just bought another black one.
