What roof rack for Rigid Adapt?

I know, I know. It's ludicrously expensive, but I think I have a line on one for one much cheaper than new from a buddy.

I've been trying to decide what rack would be the best to use with it. The Prinsu one has stood out to me so far, because it looks like it has a half-fairing of sorts that allows the bar to sit almost flush.

I like the gobi racks, but the light bars seem to sit preposterously high on the rack.

Has anyone any recommendations? I'd really like a clean, but practical solution.

PRINSU

Example of another

Have you looked at the Sherpa Crestone? This has a better waterproof mounting system then many racks and the side plates follow the roof contour very nicely. 5th Gen 4Runner Roof Rack | 2010-2020 4Runner | Sherpa Equipment Co. — Sherpa Equipment Company

That does look nice, and I do have concerns about water leaking into the roof based on threads on the subject on the board. I think that its pretty unacceptable that manufacturers of many racks don't do a better job of figuring out a way to ensure water intrusion is a non-issue.

How does Sherpa address the problem better than others? There's not much information on their site.

I like the Sherpa from what I've seen, though the Prinsu fairing does seem to be a better design for a light bar. It has like L-shaped cutouts at the edges which just makes the Prinsu look like it has a bit of a shorter fairing to bring the lights down a bit.

I'd really like to get a measurement on both to see what kind of dimensional differences there are.

I'ts not that important, because the design of the Adapt bar seems to place the important "light" portion toward the top of the bar; the lower bit is non-functional and could sit behind the down behind the fairing and closer to the roof line.

IMO prinsu style looks best especially with lighting. The Sherpa rack looks killer, i like their mounts. SSO also has a similar style rack. lot of guys don't like the "erector set" style of the racks but its your taste that matters.

Interesting, hadn't heard of that issue. Did you consider running it down the back or anything as an alternate or is there just not enough cable?

That does make give me some pause. I had never considered that to be an issue.

the 2 power wires are 8 gauge.. i bought some 46 amp delphi metripack connectors good for 10ga wires... wouldn't fit in there..
the light also comes unterminated, so your choice of connectors.
