I think it's funny that you don't even try to deny that dealers flat out lie and deceive in every aspect of their business

For sure I wouldn't want to do a deal either unless I had somewhat of an idea on all aspects.

Honestly, based on when I bought my own 16 4Runner last month and having studied the market values and auction values, 4Runner values have been steadily climbing. Used cars in general have been creeping up, but 4runners moreso. This should be great for us owner's looking to sell or trade.

But that also makes us dealers nervous to buy inventory right now because they're just outright expensive, the book values haven't caught up to the wholesale values making it more difficult to get some of these cars financed, but most importantly they're waiting for the other shoe to drop and the market to "crash".

My store is buying cars at half capacity because we're afraid of what's to come with the continued rising Covid cases and the election.

I don't take hyperboles very seriously, but if you think dealers are the only type of business guilty of bad business practices, then I don't know what to tell you.

I like to think that I run my store ethically, but I always tell people to vote with their wallet. I wouldn't expect anybody to do business with me unless they trust me.

There's actually a bunch of green Pro's listed there. Says 58 found.

Pros are different because of the constrained supply, and I expect the special colors are especially the case.

In my experience, I called a half-dozen dealers around the Puget Sound and they all had different approaches. Some refused to take my name because they said they could just mark it up $5k extra and sell to someone that walks on the lot. Some kept an informal list but no deposit and price to be negotiated when it arrived. Some kept a formal list and you had to give them a $1k deposit - those ones agreed to sell for MSRP.

After talking to a few people in the area, I put down $1k with two dealers. Both wanted to know my color restrictions, because they got colors in semi-randomly. I said anything but black.

2 months later, one called with a V Blue so I bought it for MSRP and got my refund back from the other. My first choice was white, but I don't really care that much.

But the supply is so constrained normal rules don't apply, and no one can tell the dealers what to do.

Did a search myself. The **** is this guy?

Really depends on how much work you want to do and how bad you want it.

Probably going to have to sit tight for a while and pay to play. I would leverage my local dealer and have them do the work. Leave a refundable deposit and tell them to call you when they find one.

The Dealer where I bought my TRD ORP, shows 4 Army Green TRD PROs in stock.

But you'd have to ship it, or fly out and drive it home.

I seen that one in my search. Either the pic is wrong or it's not really a Pro. Wheels look like a Limited, but the front end looks different.

I did. Army Green. Super happy with it. Surprised at all the differences. Really happy with it.
