@ bugged
, I can't PM you, but I wanted to ask if you're interested in selling the control box for the folding mirrors. Please let me know by PM or reply here. Thanks.

I wish this came on the car stock. It would help squeezing into tight spaces inside a garage.

I have had these installed since last fall and really like them. I did have a problem with the drivers side motor seeming to run a few seconds too long making a loud grinding noise. After I contacted them they sent me a replacement motor and it has worked well so far. I did not hook up the lock/unlock wires so the mirrors just operate by pushing the button and when starting. Speaking of this, Does anyone know how to prevent the mirrors from opening when starting? I really would like them to remain retracted while starting and only operate with the button. I back into a tight garage which is why I wanted the kit. When I go to start the truck, the mirrors deploy and I have to push the button to retract again before I can drive out. I would like them to stay in so I can just push the button after I leave my garage.

Cut/disconnect the "ACC/ON" white wire.

I thought this had been posted somewhere in here, but I knew I'd read it in the instructions.

You shouldn't need to cut wires.
Looking forward to installing myself. I have a set in the basement ready to install when the weather gets warmer.

Thanks but I don’t think mine had an acc wire...just the door lock, unlock, and power. I will need to double check, it has been a while. Maybe I have a previous model? Did they change them?

KingPrat, looks like the "Models Conversion" #3 instructions are what Jemplyr77 would be looking for, but he said "I did not hook up the lock/unlock wires so the mirrors just operate by pushing the button and when starting." Since he doesn't have the unlock wire connected, he can't perform those instructions.

Did you get a wiring instructions page like KingPrat showed in his post? Does it look the same? The "ACC/ON" wire is a white wire.

I honestly cannot remember and I don’t think I still have them, just the box with my old parts. With that said, I did look under my dash where I placed the module and the wiring looks to be like the diagram posted. I see where I tapped the red power wire and the blue and green lock wires that I did not connect. I cannot tell where the white wire goes. Can you tell me where it was supposed to be connected to? Maybe it just goes to the mirror switch? Wonder if I just snipped that wire if it would achieve what I am looking to do.

I can't recall for sure, but it might get its ACC power from the mirror switch. No matter where it's connected, yes, snipping it (and taping both ends) will get you what you want.

FYI I tried this and now the mirrors do not work at all. So, I’m not sure what the solution might be, if any, so I will try to repair the wire.

Tapping the door lock/unlock detect is an option. Power is used even without lock/unlock detect.
