Question Touch screen protector
Just picked up a 2020 today from the dealer and noticed an item under dealer added Equipment and Services,Appearance Protection Package. Ghost Armor - Polyurethane film that is Transparent and Scratch Resistant Precisely Pre-cut to Protect your Touch Screen. $199.-

Yup. Mine looks fine, unless at an angle. Easy to see using your phones camera. Oh well.

I read that a scratch removing spray will remove them relatively easily. I guess I will go that route.

it does add glare but not enough to be distracting on road.

if you look at the whole 2020 head unit, the screen itself is pretty diffused, and the side panel (where the controls are) are shinier.

adding the screen protector brought the screen to ~the same level of reflection as the side buttons. i was afraid of the potential added glare but i actually like how the whole unit looks more consistent now

OMG $199...I only paid $9 for mine in summer of 2019. Works great, no glare or any other problems.

Not sure of what kind of pic. you are asking for. Screen was installed before I ever saw the vehicle. I’ve bought many screen protectors for phones and tablets and have never paid more than $20- so I’m hoping that this one lasts a long time but I’m skeptical.

My screen does not have any scratches on it.

BTW I read on some other forums that those screen protectors can or will leave sticky goop on your screen that is basically impossible to get off. I will live with mine the way it came from the factory.

Toyota responded to my letter with a statement that the screen is not prone to scratches and that any scratches present are deemed to be the fault of the owner operator. It is not a warranty claim regardless of miles.

I also bought the most popular screen protector from Amazon and it is a farce. It came with no film on one side, making it a marred up mess when "New". Garbage.

That's always a risk. You'll see in their blurb that you can contact them for a free replacement if it arrives damaged or not intact....
