Someone posted about this in this forum couple months ago. I immediately went out and looked at my screen of my 2020 ORP with a flashlight noticed the scratches. It was an awful but the truck was less than a week old. I ordered a screen protector and there hasn't been any issues since.

I had scratches on my 2020 screen as well. I just ordered one of the tempered glass screen protectors on amazon, cleaned it carefully and stuck it on. Can't tell they are there now and between the kid and the dog something else is going to get it worse sooner or later.

I searched the forums, and came up hugging air.

Thanks for your post. I am leaning towards doing the same.

Good point. Even if I did get it swapped, it would just happen again.. immediately it appears. Thats disappointing. Thanks for your post.

When I received my 2020, I specifically told them not to remove any of the shipping plastics and no porter wash since I do all of the detailing myself. They assured me it would be so.

BUT, they ended up washing it anyway. Boy were they surprised when I showed up to the dealer with a Brinkmann dual xenon to locate any paint imperfections. Once I checked the interior I saw some light scratching on the head unit, but you’d have to look really really hard to notice them.

Since then, I’ve done weekly washes and always make sure to use a new microfiber to lightly dust the head unit. I use a light spritz of invisible glass onto the towel itself, then do a few passes. Haven’t seen any additional abrasions.

Soon as I brought my 2020 AG Pro home I added the screen protector no issues. Not taking a chance with scratches. Whoever is making this headunit with the screen is very soft that it scratches that easy. My 19 Z06 I bought new I did not add anything on the screen and have no scratches.

I guess I should get ahead of this issue and grab a screen protector. What are the quality brands?

Are they removable fairly easily? One use and done?

About to hit 11,000 miles on mine, and have absolutely zero scratches on the screen. In fact, I just went out and cleaned it off with some spray and a microfiber cloth just to be sure...

What are you guys touching your screen with?? Car Play screen scratches so easily.

For those of you that bought the screen protector for the head unit, is there any glare on the screen when the vehicle is out in the sunlight ? Does it help with glare or make it worse? Thanks!

I bought mine off amazon. I don’t have any issue with glare. The screen protector is not as clear like the ones you add on to your phones but I have no complaints about it. I probably would not have put one on if not for all the reviews I read up on the issues with scratches. I chose not to take a chance.

Mine looks like that in shade, now move out into the sun with a glare coming in from passenger side. I’ll bet you have scratches too.. it’s only under certain lighting conditions.

My 2020 has some light scratches, only can really see them in certain light. Likely happened when we got real dirty up in the Yooper recently and were using the touch screen.

Not really a big deal, but I went ahead and ordered one of the amazon protectors for it for some peace of mind. Figure if it were to take a big scratch I'd rather it be on a $20 cover.

Well I haven’t busted out my special UV light and microscope yet to carefully inspect every square millimeter, so there is a possibility that I have some microscopic scratches there somewhere. That picture wasn’t in the shade either...

Scratches are inevitable with any touchscreen, so I fully expect to have some noticeable ones before I’m done driving this thing. My cousin has a 2019 Platinum F-250 and has minor scratches on the screen already. Hell, even my Honda with a non-touch LCD display had light scratches and it was rarely ever touched, except to maybe dust it off once every year or so.

Just bought my 2020, I think I’ll invest the $20 on a protector. My last truck (F150) had marks on the touch screen within the first year I owned it ... spots where you touch it all the time... that never disappeared.

Honestly, that’s the best thing to do to ensure no scratches. I buy them for all my smartphones. I don’t think any manufacturer makes a scratch free screen.

it appears the screen is very susceptible to scratching and what mainly causes it is wiping with paper towels or other abrasive cleaning methods. best to stick with microfibers and water if needed.

i got the amazon screen protector and was pleasantly surprised by the quality
