Have you run into any negatives? I did read a couple of people had issues with odd throttle applications occurring so they removed it to get rid of the issue. It sounds like a really great product.

Over 3 years and no issues. Once in a while it will be on a different setting than I left it (maybe the Wife) and it will be crisper (too responsive) and I just push the setting for City instead of Sport and drive away. (Wife thinks it's a Sports Car!)

I have the Sprint Booster, and you really should try it. It’s simply an after market solution for what many cars offer, stock. My wife’s BMW, for example, offers 3 drive modes...eco, comfort and sport. Each mode changes throttle response and shift points. Obviously, there isn’t any change in power output from the engine but each mode provides a unique driving experience. A huge percentage of cars offer different drive modes which are possible with drive by wire. I’m surprised that so many people haven’t experienced it.

If factory 0-60 times are 7.5, I'd be interested in hearing what the 0-60 times are with the Pedal Commander. I've been going back and forth on buying one but it seems like there's mixed feelings about them. I realize this isn't a "tune", but just a quicker pedal response mechanism. Just thinking quicker pedal response has to equal faster 0-60 times.

Just figure the time wasted rolling into the throttle and waiting for the trans to react.....that lag is reduced and the feeling is more direct that the throttle is doing what the foot tells it! No power is added but the drivetrain reacts quicker and proportionate to your input........like it always SHOULD have!

For a 0-60 run your "pedal" is always maxed out, physically, so Pedal Commander can't "map it" any higher. The only difference is perhaps about 50ms improvement on the time it takes you to mash the pedal in initially.

I’m sure Sprint Booster, Pedal Commander, etc. result in improved driving experiences For some people under certain circumstances. But it has to be important to you before you consider it worthwhile. A different throttle response from stock just isn’t important to me.

If any of you fly or drive R/C, then you know Toyota has added expo to our throttle control to help us...erm...drive more smoothly and save fuel. Pedal Commander allows you to dial in your own expo curve.

The main difference between Pedal Commander and Sprint Booster is that the PC is only when its plugged in, and as soon as its removed it just goes back to how it drove stock while the SB stays in the system until you clear it? Seems like PC is a better way to go if under warranty, right?

Plug and play or unplug and walk away.....PC is simple and does what it says it will and that is a rarity now days. For $249 it is the best of the thousands of dollars I have spent on the Truck as far as improving the truck. I was completely skeptical and resisted getting it....not now. The Wife likes it even more as She is really an aggressive Driver and it makes passing much easier with the quick shifting when you punch it. Sure, I would love to bolt on some Gizmo that gives it 50 HP but short of the Supercharger there isn't anything easy we can do.

Well, of course not. It’s not something you “need.” It’s all personal preference. I enjoy having a better throttle response around town and on the highway. When I’m on the beach or somewhere off road, I just turn it off. The highways are very congested in my area and people drive pretty fast and crazy. I enjoy having a quicker throttle response on the highway to quickly get around someone or be able to react and accelerate quickly for some reason.

Have a 2018 OR and this seems to have helped so far

Sprint Booster
93 Shell octane, for some reason Shells seems to run best so far. I would try 91 but I haven't seen a gas station with it here in Austin, Tx.

I also use Toyota motor oil, seems to run smoother than Mobil 1 . Just my experience though.

My understanding is that SB has a control module that plugs into the main module. If you remove the control module, the main module just remembers the last setting that the main module was set to and operates accordingly. Both units stop working when the physical connection between the pedal and the computer is restored to stock.
