Awesome idea... if you have plans to produce I'm sure folks would be interested. Personally I'd also be interested in the rear cargo window. Any plans for that?

with 2 window screens you're potentially creating a path for air to flow in and then out of the vehicle keeping things fresher, not so much with a large rear screen.

also, a rear window screen would be pretty annoying to carry around when not in use

I've considered it, though I don't have immediate plans to do it. I was thinking I'd probably make it fold in half so it wouldn't take up so much room when you weren't using it.

I do the exact same thing.... they were less than $10 on amazon

I like it better than Yota Club version since this one is for the entire window. Guess there’s is more for driving, not camping.
Just need them for all the windows, including the back.

Interesting, I wasn't aware of their products. Very similar approach to my first attempt.

I've used those type of things a bunch. They are pretty tight around the bottom trim and bug free.

I just noticed this however.

Toyota 4Runner 5th Gen Hatch Window Vent by Visual Autowerks | YOTA club

Placed an order. Will report back.

With a fan inside, looks perfect.

Yeah, if you get the correct size it should be pretty snug. I’m not sure if medium or large size would be better. It looks like both would fit.
There’s a review on the amazon site from someone with a 2018 4R who liked it. Here’s a pic.
(You could always run a strip of painter’s tape along the bottom edge to seal it tight).

I went with a set of snap shades as they allow the window to still go up and down without removing them. I would trade the ability to open/close windows with them in place for an option to fill all doors, hatc and sunroof with screens!

I got kind of excited about this product since it’s a custom fit, even at the $125 price.

But then I watched the installation video and notice the big gaps along the side. Not good for bug resistance. Granted, the demo was on a Jeep, but did you notice any gaps on your 4R shades?
