Mine fit nice and snug with no gaps. I've had the windows all the way down and up to about 15mph and 35mph with the windows half way down without them moving. My son loves them!

I measured the window dimensions and ended up ordering large. There's a lot of slack at the top of the window, but the elastic keeps the bottom snug.

I returned from a week-long camping trip in CO. I had the rear windows half-way down, because the nights were in the 30's and 40's. There was drizzling rain the first couple of nights, and plenty of mosquitoes every night.

The rain, mosquitoes, and other insects did not find their way in. The window shades have elastic at the opening - it's like wearing a sock, but for the windows.

I just got mine from amazon today and can confirm the fit. A little bit baggy at the top but nice and snug at the bottom. I can’t see any bug getting under that thing. The two screens are a soft material with a wide elastic strip at the bottom. They come folded in a re-sealable plastic zipper bag for storage. When you take them out of the bag they kind of look like a large pair of underwear! Some reviewers complain that they don’t last long, but these people use them primarily as sun screens for kids in the back seat and drive around with them on all the time. For the occasional use for car camping they should work just fine and with care last for many years.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Nice thread hijack shilling every other screen product on the market. Seriously, it's good that there are several options out there. Everyone has different needs and price points. I wasn't aware of some of these products, and it's useful to know at least one of them is priced similarly to what I'd probably have to charge if I made these for sale. Some people won't want to pay more than the $10 for the Amazon door socks, and that's cool, but I suspect I'm not the only one who would pay for a more elegant solution.

There’s a review on the amazon site from someone with a 2018 4R who liked it. Here’s a pic.
(You could always run a strip of painter’s tape along the bottom edge to seal it tight).
A buddy of mine uses something similar. they come down a bit onto the door panel, and Then he uses a few strip magnets to keep it tight/partially sealed along the bottom.

No intentions to hijack. That’s just the way these discussions go, everyone gets excited about these ideas and sharing their finds, and going off topic into the weeds sometimes.
It’s interesting to see the loads of camping screen ideas and solutions in this forum. Like DIY window socks, magnets sewn around the perimeter of a sheet of screen material, cardboard or plywood framed screen inserts, just tucking screen fabric into the window frame, even using Home Depot screened gutter guards inserted between window top edge and the weather seal. And then there are all the various manufactured items for sale. Lots of cheapies from China and a few quality hand-sewn and assembled ones from the US. However there is a cost point to consider if selling items. In one of the window screen discussion threads last year Raingler introduced their latest product idea: mesh window socks billed as “mil-spec” strength material. The cost was $75 per pair. They looked nice and rugged and I’m sure they worked well but I don’t think they sold many. They don’t even offer them on their website anymore.

So, please carry on and keep posting about your progress and photos. You may wind up massaging your design based on the feedback comments here. I hope you’re successful with it. I like that they’re flexible; a rigid frame gets crunched if the window goes up too far too fast. It looks like a great quality idea and I may have to abandon my lovely HD gutter screens!

Yeah I used the Home Depot gutter screens and they worked great before getting roof top tent.

This is the testimonial I needed to read about the HD gutter screen window vents. I will be sleeping in the truck for a week fishing on the coast and this will come in handy for sure. I was worried about strong wind gusts before. Not now that I see there is a bottom lip and you can slide it in the window track.

Thank you to everyone who posted!
