My lift story...

After over a month after ordering my suspension, I finally received everything and installed it. I went with Bilstein 6112 kit in the front at the 3rd perch from the bottom (1.7"), 5160 in the rear with Eibach Pro 1" springs. I also decided to add Dobinsons UCA's while I'm in there. I had a shop install the KYB top hats because the spring compressor I rented didn't fit. I wanted to achieve the OEM rake, just higher.

Obligatory suspension pics.

Some notes:

I started from the front passenger side. It was a ***** and a half and took nearly 4 hours for my brother and I. A lot of curse words and install videos later, we got it. Basically, we weren't able to get the arm low enough to remove the shock. Undoing the steering knuckle bolts didn't help much.

We only disconnected the KDSS from the passenger side, which is the solid side. While it helped drop the arm, it actually blocked the opening to remove the stock shock and reinserting the 6112's. After some maneuvering, my brother was able to get it in (I actually wasn't there when he did )The driver's side only took ~30 min. It's amazing how much easier it was.

The following day, USPS dropped off the rears. It was very straight forward; we only disconnected the hard brake lines and the solid sway bar link, again on the passenger side. I did not remove the trackbar! Everything went in smoothly, tho the bracket for the reservoir was kind of annoying to bolt up.

Ground to fender measurements on 265/70 Nitto Ridge Grapplers:

Stock
FD 34"
FP 34"
RD 36 7/8"
RP 36 1/2"

Lifted
FD 36 1/8"
FP 36 1/4"
RD 38 3/16"
RP 37 3/4"

Overall, I achieved ~2" lift while maintaining an OEM like rake. After a tank, it should settle a bit. And now for a couple pics...I need to take more.

Nice! It took forever for me to get the 5160 shocks, too. I pretty much have the exact same setup except with the TRD Pro version of the 6112 upfront with ToyTec 1inch perch, and on a SR5P 4X4. Same exact setup in the rear. My front measurements matches yours with stock 265\70 tires, but your rear is seems higher. I'm right at 37.5 on both rears. Must be the KDSS doing something?

My first thread on the forum and THAT is your question!?!? ......... 97 Integra Type R with B18 and JDM front end swap. What isn't pictured is an 01 996 C2 on GT2 suspension and GT3 spec wheels. Sadly, neither is mine.

Maybe, but I literally just installed the rear 2 hours before posting about it. I'll update the height (and include hub > fender numbers) once it settles.

That KDSS sounds like a real bear to work around. The lift looks like it came out good though.

On a separate note, you don’t see many ITRs on the road anymore. A friend of mine had a turbo b18c5 in a ‘99 hatch. That thing put my turbo si to shame.

Looks great!

How long have the 6112s been installed and have they settled at all?

I did my 6112/5160 install on my SR5P about 10 days ago with the specified 6 and 4 position for a 2 inch lift, UCAs, and did the Bilstein B12 +1 coils in the rear.

While I am sitting almost level I gained a little more than 3” driver and 2 3/4 passenger. It’s looks good but my camber is a little too positive. I adjusted the LCAs out to get the camber zero’ but that made the LCAs essentially longer and I added an additional .5” in lift. So I needed to find a happy medium and settled with .6 positive camber.

Really hoping it settles closer to 2” so I can fix the camber. No settlement yet though.

I installed the fronts on Sunday and the rears on Monday (yesterday). They haven't really settled all that much. I did drive before installing the rears about 4 miles total (new Harbor Freight opened up near me!!), so the fronts are a tiny bit more settled than the rears.

I installed a similar set up a few weeks ago, driven about 400 miles, 25-30 miles off road. I haven't noticed much settling in the front or the rear

I have a non-KDSS with 6112's set to the 1.6" setting, 5160's with 1.5" Dobinson coils in the rear
