I find it odd to know Toyota built two sets of wiring harnesses for the same mirror. That's time, money, energy into two things. Doesn't sound like Toyota. Logically 1 wiring harness and either it has a receptacle, or it doesn't is far more efficient and far less chance for assembly error than two harnesses. Jeep does a one harness thing for the rear end. Sub woofer or not, convertible (wiper motor/wash) still get the same assembly. Makes it easy to add a hard top or for an aftermarket amp/sub with the 130 sound system.

You might get a good laugh out of it.

Plus, the other site is far better, less adds, better UI. If you have questions, find me over there. Same username.
Iím new to this topic and after reading everything and getting caught up I have come to learn Old Red is a legend, thanks for all the effort you put into the 4Runner community. I sent you a follow request on Instagram yesterday. Hoping you accept so I can shoot you a message about the harness

May I ask why you don't miss the puddle lights? I have an SR5 and would love to add the turn indicators side mirrors. I'm indifferent about the puddle lights but since the mirror will have the housing for them I might as well add them as well. Were the puddle lights annoying in any way?

i just smashed my driver side mirror on a 2012 SR5. Does anyone know if I can use the 2014-current side view mirrors with signal and puddle lights using this mod? I would love to bring my ride into something a little more this era. Thanks!!
