Install took about 30 minutes by myself. I found if you remove the brake line screw closest to the rear bracket it allows you to move the line a bit and get a good angle with the socket.

All you need is a 12mm socket for this install, I used two jack stands to set the rail on to get them into position. I started with the rear most bracket, and the bottom hole. Then went to the middle bracket (only one hole) and then the front bracket, bottom hole. From there I snugged them up a bit, but not too tight. Then I inserted the front upper bolt, and then the rear upper bolt. While pushing up on the rail to get it as high as I could, I then snugged them down tightly.

For what its worth, mine didn't come with any instructions, but its pretty self explanatory once you look at it.

Cool picts BeeDee. Do you think you could take one from floor level on the driver's side looking up at the underside/where it bolts to the frame rail? That would be very helpful.

Would you be able to take a closer picture from the front tire area looking towards the back?

I'm trying to see how far these stick out.

I want to use them as a step, not to get into the vehicle, just to access my roof rack occasionally. I don't need much, just a few inches to fit my toes on.

Do you think they would work for that?

This seems like a good option for someone who do not want to spend 800+ on aftermarket sliders.
I am surprised this isn't more popular.

I don’t think they’re really known. Would get more interest if Toyota actually listed them on the accessory page.

Plus, didn't someone post that they only came out in April of this year? I'm betting marketing them wasn't a priority given all the other bullshit happening at the same time.

Does anyone have any close up pictures showing if this can be used as a small (all I need is my toes) step to mess with stuff on my roof rack occasionally.

I have this sitting in my cart waiting to be purchased.

Question for the people that have these, I know these are pretty high and tight but I actually like that, there are a few unknowns that are stopping me from pulling the trigger and I’m wondering if some of you that have already went with these can help me out?

1) I’m wondering if any these would offer any protection from door dings, I’m guessing these would protect a bit against smaller lower cars but not from larger trucks. Anybody with these can chime in or do a test?

2) How can we find out if you can use a hi-liift on these? Does someone just need to try it or is it based on how strong they are or if they stick out far enough for it?

3) Not worried that these can’t be used as steps but I’m wondering if one of you has tried stepping on these with both feet to get access to the roof/roof rack.

I decided to order a set. Its hard to tell from pictures but it looks like I can get my toes on there just fine. I dont do aggressive rock crawling, and I dont want to spend $800+ on aftermarket sliders. So for $435 I couldn't pass it up

I'll let you know when mine arrive
