issues with rear hatch lock?

So has anyone had issues with the rear hatch lock. It seems to not work at all and my rear hatch will not close. Everything else works such as the rear window but it just doesn't shut.

It's a new 5th gen (2019 with only 20k miles). I was planning on taking it in tomorrow to the stealership bu have checked the fuse and can't seems to figure it out. Just wondering if it is a common problem, also it sucks cause i have to tie down the rear hatch while driving and was planning on a trip over the weekend.

Yea, that wasn't it. Currently at the dealership trying to get it fixed. It was like the locking mechanism just loss power or spring to hold it locked.

I bought mine used in 17, and it actually had the same issue when I first looked at it. They had to replace the whole locking mechanism and was a ***** to get to. I think it took them 2 days to fix it since the hatch was closed and would not open.
