On road I'll be at 36 PSI on LT255/80/17 or LT285/70/17. For Off roading I'm usually at 18 PSI for rocks and sand. For mud I'm at 13-14 PSI which worked very well in clay mud while I was in the Grand Canyon.

Depends on what I’m driving through. Generally around 42-44 on road and 22.5 off-road.

Depends how dedicated the terrain is, most stuff is a mix so I tend to stick with an all-around pressure.
Summer - Goodyear MTR/k 285/17 r17 stock trail rims
Winter - Goodyear DuraTrac 255/75 r17 stock trail rims
In general, same for both seasons:
37 on
20 off

I have yet to take the 4R in anything requiring me to significantly air down, but I wouldn't hesitate to go to 12 or 14 in soft sand..
On my off road rig, 37 inch toyo MT's 14.50x15 I regularly air down to 12 PSI and I don't have bead locks..only once did I have an issue where the side wall got up against some limestone which in turn got ground into the bead and caused a leak.
If you're cruising trails where you want the comfort of some extra traction, I would think anything between 15 and 20 would help a lot on the 4Runner..

BFG K02 C-load 285/70R17.
37 highway
17 off road
Makes a huge difference on very rocky Colorado trails such as Hancock or Williams Pass.
