OffRoad tire Pressures
I've been wondering...
What tire pressure you guys run while on dirt and climbing shelves and rocks...
Please post make and tire size on your rig. If you know the weight of your rig; pls post as well

I haven't done anything hard core, some rocks/turf/dirt roads and mild hills....so no airing down to date.
Stock wheels and OEM Bridgestones.

285/75/17 St Maxx on 17x9" Rims
It depends, generally not lower than 14. If I'm in a situation where it's more for comfort than traction (Washboards) probably 20.
On road 36 front and rear

East Coast - mud, roots, rocks.
265/70R17 Wildpeaks in SL
I was paranoid about going "too low" with SLs.
I'd air down just a bit for off road - went for quite some time about 32.
Never really seemed to have any problems with traction.
Walked myself down to 26 or so on rocky trails looking for some comfort/softness.
Still not sure what my sweet spot is... or what too low is for SLs

i don't have a universal pressure for offroading
if it's just dirt roads or something minor i drop about 5psi for comfort and so i'm not contributing to washboarding, if it's a moderate i drop my C-range 275's to 22psi-ish, and if it's something more i drop to 15-18psi

I run 25-26PSI offroad on rock/gravel/mud (TPMS warning is 24psi), and about 38-40psi onroad. Canadian Shield offroading (mud/granite/roots/knobs)
LT285/70R17.

265/70/R17 Wildpeaks. Run 36 onroad and 20 off-road. When I was in Colorado I'd have to adjust every so often as the altitude and heat kept re-expanding the tire.

40 psi on road, 20 or 25 if I air down for rocky terrain. 295/70/17 nitto ridge grapplers on MB TKO rims. haven't done sand yet, but I'd probably go down to 15 -18 if I did.
