Replacement wheel bearing hub assembly - where to buy?

Hey guys,

I'm pretty sure one of my rear wheel bearings is shot. Most likely from high water in Houston streets.

Where can I buy the parts online? Are there any forum vendors that sell?

Does anyone know what the exact part number or list of parts to swap these out so I don't have to go to the dealer?

Thanks,
Chris

Be careful, rear wheel bearings are much different than fronts and pretty involved to change. Fronts are not too bad if you get a pre-pressed assembly. I bought 2 from a member on TW that you can find pretty easily, one of them worked great and the other would lose its press every time i installed it. I think it was pressed wrong to begin with. Finally had to go to dealer and have them press and install a new one for me. So, it's a roll of the dice, be prepared. Also, you have to make sure you know what bearing is being pressed into the assembly. Toyota was using Koyo bearings but then switched to NSK?, but I'm not sure.

The rears I was told rarely go bad. To change them you have to pull out the rear axle. There is instruction in the FSM, it doesnt look like a quick job like the fronts. Below enter your VIN# for exact part numbers:

If a rear wheel bearing fails due to water infiltration, then the entire differential was exposed to contaminated oil. The first thing I would do is remove the differential level plug and draw a sample of oil by dipping a pipe cleaner.
