Oil on spark plug

yes I searched but only found results for 3rd and 4th gen

Changing my plugs out today, found wet oil on the threads of one plug. Truck drives as it should, no weeping from the valve covers.

2010 with 135k

Any suggestions, advice, sarcastic one liners?

There are grommets between the spark plug cans and cylinder head cover. It appears one of the grommets has an oil seep. It's always a good idea to shine a light into the spark plug cans before removing the plugs. Do you recall if all coil pack insulators that touch the spark plugs were dry? If so, I suggest waiting 10,000 miles and then inspecting the can with a wet plug. A trace amount of oil is nothing to worry about. Next time when you change plugs, hold a rag over the exposed spark plug can and blow out contamination with compressed air. I would also check the PVC valve for blockage.

Little bit is fine. A flooded tube would throw a red flag.

I found oil on the threads of the plug on the driver's side, closest to the firewall when I changed mine at 120K. The truck runs fine and uses no oil over the 5K interval, and it's been sitting a lot due to covid work arrangements.

Anyway, I later did a couple hundred miles in a weekend and pulled that plug and the middle one on the drivers side to check them. Both were clean and dry. So, it seems like sitting may contribute.

Thanks for the replies. I will leave it alone for now and check the coils and plugs after driving for a while. I have a new pcv sitting around here somewhere. I'll get that done for good measure.
