Toytec bumpstop kit vs durabumps question
Just recently installed 34’s on the runner ... found that it seems to articulate too much ... causing the tire to go to far up into the frame
So I ordered the toytec drop\relocation kit along with the aftermarket durabumps for the rear
In installing them ... it doesn’t look like I should used them together, like I originally intended ... just drops the bump way to far I think ... so I currently just installed the toytec kit and mount the factory back to those.
But what are y’all thoughts on these two products? Feelings on which one I should keep vs return?

Curious about your lift and UCA setup. I’m going 34” on stock wheels on my 2019 pro. My lift will be 2” front and 1.5” rear. Wondering what I’ll need to do with bump stops so I don’t hit the top of wheel wells or rip off my fender flares. I’ll be running spidertraxx too.

Can I also suggest stock GX rear bs or Eibach's recently released rear bs. $100 price difference between the two, which ever way you fancy feast, rubber or polyurethane, both use a drop bracket design.
What bump stops are you running?
Eibach Load Leveling System (aka height adjustable rear)
If you need fronts I would recommend Energy Suspension 8.9104R They use to be $24 bucks 1.5 years ago, a black color is also available.

Just some cost saving options, seems like everyone is quite happy with their hybrid bump stop kits.

I've read a few posts where people went from the Toytec brackets to durobumps and noticed a huge improvement in ride quality - removes the harshness.
I just installed the energy suspension bump stops up front and have noticed those quite well, even on large city street bumps!

Of course I don’t want less travel ... I get more=better ... but when a company like toytec recommends it for lifted 4runners due to how the axle travels ... then I start asking questions ... they even make a block to keep the stock suspension from over extending (I believe it even applies to after market suspension )
I am lifted 2 in the rear and 3 in the front with a leveling kit from revtek. So it is the stock suspension I am worried about over extending at this point.
My recent experience in Moab on my 34 in tires proved that I need to do something ... so bump stops were the obvious choice ... as I won’t or don’t plan on doing full suspension until sometime next spring or summer
Dura bumps over heard amazing things about ... but they specifically say ‘does not limit the up travel’ (which is my concern)
The toytec relocation/drop kit seem like they are specifically designed to stop the axle with bigger tires ... in lifted 4runners from going too far. Right off their video on their website

I am running a revtek leveling kit (so no suspension upgrade) ... 2in rear and 3 in front with a dif drop ... nothing else as far as UCA’s or anything ... I was planning on doing a full suspension upgrade sometime next spring or summer ... but for now ... that’s her!

truck looks great man.
my first concern would be your revtek kit over extending the front components at full droop.
as far as the back end i guess if youre running a longer shock you can push the bump stop down and still have the same travel....or pull away the wheel well liner and start trimming sh1t back, reinstall liner for OEM look. I'm sure smarter guys than this hillbilly have a solution though.

Yeah man ... I dunno ... I think the front is less of a issue in my humble understanding ... the back axle is solid so it can push on, or affect, the other side ... with an independent front suspension i wouldn’t think it was as likely to force extend it ya know? Gravity is the only thing that pushes the front down ... the rear can be pushed by the other side
But I’m with you ... what the hell do I know  ... lol

I have durobumps front and rear. It is much better than oem with drop kit.

Just to be clear...
the Toytec bump stops are to be used with factory sized bumpstomps...
Adding the durobumps on top of this will be trouble... as you will have over compensated for any travel your new kit will be causing. Also you will have messed up the alignment of the bump stops as the Durobumps and the ToyTecs both move the bump slightly inwards to accommodate larger tires with high amounts of backspacing... if they are both doing that now you are going to miss the mark.
I would remove the Toytecs and reinstall the DuroBumps and you will be good to go.

Such a Great conversation I been conversation contemplating the toytec 2 in drop brackets just for shear price of 100 bucks vs duro bumps for 280 on my v8 4th gen 4runner appreciate the conversation guys
