Trd-pro_fox shocks lift options

TRD-Pro-FOX lift options

Trying to consolidate a bunch of threads here, this is the best I can do to gather information for lifting a Fox -shocked TRD-Pro and maintaining the factory Fox shocks

Cornfed
1.5"fr / 0.5"rr
2"fr / 1.0"rr
The bigger lifts seems to include both a spacer inside the coil pack on top of spring and a spacer between the shock and frame mount on the front to split the geometry changes between the coil itself and frame side.
TRD PRO 5th Gen

Burtman Industries..
Reseller of Cornfed?
They seem to be showing a 2.5" / 2" as well as a 3" / 2" Pro lift that isn"t on cornfed's list not sure if they are actually making their own? Could be UHMW plastics, not aluminum?
Burtman Industries

Toytec

1.5-2"fr / 1.5"rr
Front is split between coil pack (looks like lower spring perch) and above shock spacer. Aluminum spacers
4RPROFX - Toytec Lift Kit for TRD Pro 4Runners (with OEM Fox Suspension)

WestCott Designs
Fr 1.5" / 1.25" rr
Spring perch based lift kit..
Fox TRD PRO Lift Kit - Westcott Designs

Eibach
Replacement springs, slightly stiffer rates (designed for slim fit aftermarket bumpers..)
1.6"fr / 1.0"rr

PRO-LIFT-KIT Springs (Front & Rear Springs)

I"m not sure what can be combined, but I need to do some research to see what could work.... I like the idea of the Eibach springs, with a little spacer upfront, and then these in the back (just the adjustable perches..)

I'll update this with actual customer measurements if I get bored later.. maybe wheel center to fender arch kind of thing..

Coachbuilder Strut / Coilover Shim ( Provides .50” of lift ) Tacoma/4R – Shop Coachbuilder

These sit on top of coil. I'm adding 2 on each side.

I'm hearing rumors that Dobinsons has springs, or maybe they used springs from another toyota/lexus model to lift with the FOX shocks... Google is letting me down on further info... Can any one share more info???

Look at there website I think I seen another guy is adding the 505 springs for the rear on the Pro. I’m doing the Eibach springs. Waiting to get them installed. The dobinson springs give you 1.5 for the rear for the 4runner.

New learnings... It appears the Eibach adjustable perches on the rear are not compatible with the Eibach Pro-fox replacement springs.

unsure why. seems like they ought to be??

The adjustable rear kit for the PRO and others uses a "racing style" spring that is very different from the Pro kit rear spring unit which looks just like a stock rear coil. it isn't, but it looks like it.

The adjustable setup will work on ALL 5th gen from the SR5 on up. It was designed separately and as a way for any 5th gen to get lift, as needed, with out the hassle of changing springs.

I have the FOX PRO KIT front springs and the adjustable kit on the rear on my 2019.
I like the flexibility of the adjuster that a single height/weight spring cannot ever match....Pro kit unit included .

The Dobs 505s come in red! I got those. But I put 1/4” toytec strut shims ontop of the eibach fronts. So far the 505s lifted the rear about 2”. Once I fix my damn front LCA bolt so I can keep my alignment, I’ll get pics. Ordered 285/70/17 KO2s to go on when it’s aligned. Truck looks like a beast now even with stock tires and spidertraxx.

Yeah....about that. I am contemplating looking at Eibach's list of racing shocks buying a set and having them stripped and powder coated Ferrari red.

Too much??

Thanks for sharing, this is pretty awesome.. is the 505 a stiffer spring rate? The Eibach front springs show 1.6in and a 1/4in spacer is 1/2" lift? FOr a total of 2.1 up front?

Hurry up with those pics, I want to be a copycat. Also, thanks for guinea pigging this combo!

Just dropped it off at Toyota to see what they can do for me on my stuck LCA cam bolt. I’ll post some pics this weekend with the stock tires, lift and wheel spacers. The 285s and BMC are happening next Wednesday. Will get more pics afterwards. I think it looks great so far.

Dobinsons addition

It looks like DObinsons officially has a spring for the Fox shocks:
It's an inch over the stock FOX springs, no details on spring rate..

I think this could be paired with any other Dobinson rear spring..

You can also use the Icon 13" 650lbs coil in the Fox shocks. Gets somewhere between 0.8" and 1" of lift in the front.
Looking at the Dobinsons, they are likely very close if not the same measurements, but the Icons are cheaper. (and if you find them used, WAY cheaper)

If I remember correctly, the stock coil is 12.6" and 600lbs, so anything taller works..but 14" would likely be too tall. (1.4" taller would give ~2.8" lift and take the shock out of the rebound zone)

Looking to add the Eibach pro springs up front (yes to keep the factory fox shocks) but what’s a good option for the rear since i need a heavier load spring? Can I add a Icon 2” - Dobinson’s 2” heavy load - Bilstein 2”400 pound load rear coil spring to the factory Fox shocks?
