rear bumper cover damage

hey folks, had a stupid moment while backing my super white 19 ORP out of a parking spot and manage to hit a car parked behind me. Looks like the the plastic bumper cover and the plastic part of rear passenger side fender are not aligned well with the body/tail light now. Is this something I can fix by taking the cover off and replacing the clips on the passenger side or does the whole bumper cover need to be replaced? Thank you

No clips there, tabs slide into a slot. The cover comes off easily. Bolts on the inside of rear hatch. Clips and screws on the rear wheel inside and a couple of screws under the cover. Lots of bits to keep track of and, of course, various sizes.
The cover gets really floppy when loose. Have two people or make sure it’s soft where it will land. I was not able to ever get mine to line up exactly to factory, but you should be able to adjust that a little better. The cover seems to take on the shape of the area where it’s hit, so it will line up and quickly go back to being out of alignment. I considered replacing mine after I did something similar to you but figured it would get hit again.

Thanks bud, will give it a try this weekend. Have you considered replacing yours with a steel bumper?

Yes. I have done the research and know what I would buy. Just not there yet. It would require a bunch of additional upgrades to support the replacement bumper.
