Nice floormats for under $69

I was shopping around for floor mats to replace my 4yr old oem mats when I came across these from Oedro. From the videos I've seen on YouTube its comparable to Weather Tech and Husky, but at a lower price. I'm not affiliated with the Oedro in any way.

For Labor Day these things are on sale for $94.99. But on a FB group, i saw they were offering them for $68.39 shipped with this coupon save28. You dont need to buy them from the FB group link, just use the standard Oedro link and apply the coupon

So I ordered a set and hope to try them out soon. I'm just thinking, it's a nice set front / rear mats with a lot of edge protection at a great price

Heres a few vids which convinced me. Tell me what you think.

While I understand the desire to take advantage of a good deal, I also like to point out the fact that you can help strengthen the U.S. economy by buying Husky or Weather-Tech, or any American-Made product for that matter. I think more people are realizing the importance of buying American, or at the very least, non-Chinese products. If it isn't going to break you to pay a little more for a U.S. product, please do. If it IS going to break you, then how did you end up in a 4Runner in the first place?

Just because you have a 4runner doesn't mean people need to make unwise decisions about their spending. I'm all for american when the quality is superior to non-american, but if the end result is the same why overpay to make people who own Husky or Weather-tech more rich? Just because they make more money, doesn't mean it creates more jobs for our economy. Also, the base location listed on their website's contact lists an address in Washington. So, most likely a company that is sourcing its product manufacturing somewhere overseas and then selling it here. Still technically an american company right? haha

As far as OPs post, I think its a deal.

I didn't say people with 4Runners had to make unwise decisions about their spending. What I was implying is that if you can afford to drive a 5th Gen 4Runner, you can PROBABLY afford to spend a little more to support an American company. And yes, Husky and Weather-Tech BOTH make their products in the United States...AMERICAN companies. The end result is not the same. Sure, your floors are protected for an indeterminate amount of time either way. The difference is that you're feeding American workers and their families when you buy American products. I'm not sure what "Just because they make more money, doesn't mean it creates more jobs for our economy" is supposed to mean. Buying American products doesn't employ people to make those products, who then get paid money to do so, to buy the things they need to live? Right, its a way better idea to just give more money to China so THEIR corporations can take more of it and give their workers even less than we give ours. That's a sad way of thinking. I know that Chinese workers have to eat too, but that's not my concern. I don't stand to support a country that consistently steals intellectual property and trade secrets from other countries, just to turn around and use it against them.

I didn't intend for this to become a pissing match, just a suggestion to buy American when you can. I guess some people just don't see the value in that anymore.

What a lot of people don't understand is that Chinese corporations setup an American based distributor of their products so they can claim "U.S." affiliation. It's all a smoke screen.

Thanks for the videos - They helped me decide on the Oedro mats for our new 2021 4Runner that I'll fly to Texas to buy and drive back home to Nashville next Thursday.

From the video, it seems that the Oedro mats are even higher quality than the WeatherTech, which I was previously considering.

And, they're cheaper.

FYI, the "Save28" code no longer works. I paid $98.99 total, with free shipping, with code "SUBSCRIBE10" (10% off).

I read the posts by a member here who was attempting to shame people for buying Chinese-made products.

A question for that guy: So, you mean to tell me that every cell phone, refrigerator, washer and dryer, vehicle, and TV you own is American-made?

I mean, if you're a member of this board, you more than likely own a Toyota 4Runner that was made in Japan.

You could have bought a domestic SUV that was made here.

In the words of a special kind of idiot who's become very well-known lately, "Come on, man".

The market dictates what sells. If someone offers me a superior product for less money, why would I choose the inferior product and pay more $$$ for it?

If WeatherTech and Husky want to continue to make money, they'll find ways to differentiate themselves from the Chinese competition.

That's what a free market is.

The competition these days is brutal.

@memphis guy makes a good point. Does your "buy American-made products when possible" philosophy only apply to accessories? We are all driving an SUV not made, just sold, in America, after all. There are plenty of SUVs made in the good ol' US of A. Or is the point only aimed at Chinese-made non-American products?

To use your own words - "if you can afford to drive a 5th Gen 4Runner, you can PROBABLY afford to spend a little more to support an American company" - would that not apply to the vehicle purchase also?

I'm all for buying American-made products if possible also. But the "taking food out of American worker family's mouths" argument loses a little of it's nobility when only applied to select products or countries.

I really like the look, pattern and logos of these OEM mats for the Pro. Just wish they had more of a tray.

Man. Those are really neat!

Being in SoCal, I doubt that the lower lip height around those mats would make a big difference as far as keeping your carpet clean.

Having the lip around the edges of the mats is great for snowy/rainy/icy/muddy conditions, in order to keep the water, snow, ice, and muck off the carpet.

But, I doubt you see much, if any, of those conditions out there.

Now, if you lived in Buffalo or something, I'd say, yeah, you might want to get some that had a higher lip.

I replaced my TRD off-road rubber mats with these Oedro mats and I’m pretty happy with them. Great quality and great coverage, better than the Toyota mats.

I took off the metal name tags and plugged the holes with small automotive trim rubber plugs from my local hardware store, and cut off the excess on the backside.
