Im kind of in the same boat. Looking at a 20 TRDOR. But also curious about the LED. Really wondering though what is the point of having LED low when the high is still halogen? Really don't understand that thought process of having two different tone lightings.

Completely agree. Seems like an asanine cost-cutting measure.

I did just find a 2020 Venture 8 hours from me for a great price. Might make an offer and just retrofit LEDs and still come out ahead a couple grand.

Drop in HIDs aimed down are a $300 solution with great light output, so I love mine for those reasons, but the longevity of OEM Toyota LED is appealing... if the price is right.

I still wish for a 30K ''Stripper'' that had a 2'' lift, rubber floor, 6 speed stick and 4.10's, 285's and redesigned valences for increased angles. Like an FJ replacement for Guys to build off of rather than more ''Soccer Mom'' upgrades.......I still have the Mule or my TJ Unlimited Rubi for Off-Road but I would like Toyota to stay ''Dirty''!

Maybe because the low beams are pretty bad but the high beams are fine as they are? At least that's my take on it.

The Lunar Rock is a 500ft foul ball with the bases loaded. If they had tweaked that color just a hair more towards gray or green or blue...grand slam.

Yeah the TRD Pro price premium for that Lunar Rock is absolutely insane. That's not going to make them resell high like blue/cement/quickand/green.

I'm waiting for a trail edition, that cement color is great. I wonder if they'll budge off msrp...

Agree as well. I installed hardwired HID lights, highly recommend the upgrade.

So it appears there's a slight increase in price given the 2020 limited I built in the beginning of this year. The starting MSRP increased $410, the delivery handling fee increased $55 and for some reason the Keep it Wild Savings is not applying after selecting the sliding rear cargo option. Previously, it would still subtract the $650 off the price after accounting for the $350 price of the sliding cargo deck. I'm uncertain if that's a mistake or not but I see the same results when building a TRD Off-Road Premium. Although, if you select nothing it will account for the Keep it Wild Savings at the summary.

In any event, the price appears to have increase about $460 or $1460 if you account for the lack of Keep it Wild Savings. I guess that's reasonable?

Well in my parts where we get winter, you need heat buildup in there from the halogen DRL to melt off snow and ice so Toyota likely left things as is for that particular reason being that nothing else is redesigned. After installing my LED's from Diode Dynamics I quickly realized this during winter driving (have to keep them clean and polished so crap slides off and even that is hopeful at best) Gotta move south someday.

Can confirm that's a real issue with LED headlights I've had on two previous cars. They don't get hot enough to melt ice and snow off the headlights when driving.

2014+ isn't ideal stock, but at least you can put on the heritage grill. And if you don't like the "TOYOTA" across the front with the heritage grill, there are third party coverups that don't have any lettering or dimples for lettering. And stock isn't demonic to begin with.

Seriously, luxury vehicles have the gaudiest styling. Genesis grills look like honeycombs from hell, and have you seen the emblem on the front of a Benz lately? It's so big it's practically got the proportions of a toddler's toy.
I don’t disagree, look at the infinity qx80 series

That said I have seen a few gx460 kitted with nicely fab’d plate bumpers that compliment nicely. That new facia looks doesn’t integrate well at all on the 5.5 with aftermarket steel, apart from the cut-out half bumper winch mount.

Uh... you need to look further back, sales were down due to a recession, not because of design. They really tanked starting in 2007.
