3 - The 2021 led housing could retrofit in older models, but again see number 1. We don’t know if it’ll fit yet too.
4 - Wiring harness? If I know anything about 4runners is these things, as long as same generation, are so so similar. Probably won’t require a harness if retro compatible. Idk if 2021 is considered Gen 6 but based on the features that would be insulting to the 4runner, it’s a 5 Gen imo. Unless Toyota has officially stated its Gen 6. There’s almost nothing new.

It’s been shown that the Chinese “drop in” LEDs blow goats and lick NYC subway bathroom door handles.
This guy knows what he is doing. It’s a couple hundred pages long so if English is your second or third language good luck.
3rd Gen HID vs LED vs Halogen H11 projector headlights | Tacoma World
The clownish gaslighting by offshore shills implying that Toyota’s new OEM LEDs for the 4R are underperforming compared to the craptastic Chinese “retrofits” makes me laugh until I nearly piss my shorts.

all the drop in led bulbs for our projector low beams have been a disappointment as far as output and beam pattern. they just don’t shine out far enough and aren't bright enough.

The forum won’t let me upload the pic, so here’s the link: Login • Instagram
The projector, and thus housing, are definitely different.

Going to be pretty expensive to swap to OEM I'm assuming. I'm waiting to hear the final number and what has to be done otherwise I will go with the black Alpharexx.

Just use a screen shot instead of directing us to Jesus only knows where in the dark web.

Toyota has not updated their site for the 2021 parts yet. I’ll keep checking. Feel free to do the same and let us know.

As I posted: the forum wouldn’t let me upload the screenshot, so I shared the link.

Looks like same basic configuration with an LED nestled in where our projectors go.
It’s all going to come down to how well they perform. Not enough of an aesthetic upgrade to be worth it in my book if they don’t light up the road substantially better.

What we need
If you have your hands on the vehicle what we need are close up shots of the front of the new headlight housing.
Need shots of the back of the headlight housing to see what connectors are going to each bulb. It looks like the side marker bulbs are the same.
Also need to confirm if the connection points for the new headlight housing are the same as the old headlight housing.
From looking at how easy it is to swap in the fog lights, my guess is Toyota just updated the interior of the headlight housing for new LED low beam and new LED hi beam. Hopefully its just a plug and play.
These are the photos needed. Not of the entire truck.

I'm anxiously awaiting pictures of the new LEDs as well.
I'm supposed to be picking up a 2021 Venture on Thursday if it gets to the lot on time (tomorrow).
If by some miracle that actually happens and there hasn't been a picture posted before then, I'll be sure to upload a few.
