wow. ok...
Looks a lot better than the halogens.
sucks they still us a halogen bulb for the DRL. do you know what bulb it is?
Guess I will be finding out soon. Put in my request for a 2021 limited with my dealer...
Any chance you can get out on a very lonely dark country road and take these shots:
1) lo beam only
2) lo beam + fog
3) hi beam
That would be a true view of how they are...
Thanks
Todd

Just test drove a 2021
Just test drove a 2021 and tried to see what the lights were doing. It was a limited and it looks like the LED low and hi beam is the same bulb. The DRL is still halogen and it looks like a 9005. Would be nice if it was LED, but its in a very easy location to replace and you can usually find a 9005 long life.

I'd like to know how much they are (the ones with the low and high).
I think I'd struggle to pay a lot for them with the Alpharex and new xB Gen 2s being compelling alternatives. These look better, but I'm still not sold really.

Anyone figure out what driver / wire connectors and if they need to be programmed into the rig or are they plug and play?

I'm sure if we get the documentation together for the connectors needed for both the Ltd\Pro LED assembly and the reg. LED assembly, we could reach out to the guy on this thread to possibly make a set for the 4runners.

Oh, and forgot to mention, the other company that makes harnesses for Tacomas told me "not now" when I asked recently.
So the possibilities are down to xrunnerdude67. Let's give him some love!

Hey REDACTED,
Thanks for the email!
Right now, we do not have anything in the works. We will probably have something available early next year, just nothing right now planned!

This guy's been doing it for Tundras for years:
2018+ LED HEADLIGHTS PLUG N PLAY HARNESS FOR 2014-2020 MODELS [V 2.0] | Toyota Tundra Forum
I'm not convinced the upgrade is worth it yet - I haven't seen any comparison shots of output against the regular halogen projectors. If our LED's end up at $700+ each for minimal/no gain in performance or appearance it becomes a hard sell. At least the Tundra LED's look distinct compared to the halogens...

Picked up my 21 Limited yesterday. Honestly not overly impressed with the LED lights. It's LED for both high/low. I can't believe the DRL is still the ugly orange looking halogens. The housing internal reflectors definitely changed. But overall, I like the small upgrades in the 21 much better than the early 19 Limited I traded in.

People will say it's wrong, but those 4Runner specific low beams are working real nice for me. I've tested them when nobody's around in the wet dark mornings lately, turning them off and then back on again, and it's obvious that I can see things well, even in the distance which is what people would say you'd be wrong about.

The new 4runner LED headlights remind me of the Camry LED headlights. Although they perform much better than the halogen models, the color temp isn't very eye catching as if it's just a much brighter halogen.

I am impressed with the 2021 LED lights.......both the headlights and the fogs. They perform insanely well and quite honestly look phenomenal as well. My wife has an Armada with LED headlights and halogen fogs which perform well, but not as nice as the new setup on my Pro. Just my 2 cents.
