I run the stock headlights (no LED).
They both come on instantly when I turn them on.
They don't need to warm up.
They don't blind oncoming traffic, now that they're aimed correctly.
I can see the highway and roads just fine, now that they're aimed correctly.
The "town" I live in has no streetlights on the corners (or anywhere).
Toyota ballpark aims the headlights. The dealer doesn't touch them unless requested by the customer.
I parked my 4runner about 3 car lengths behind one of our other cars. The low beams were shining over the car (Dodge Magnum). I adjusted them down, where the "cutoff" was just below the Magnum mirrors and back window. Amazingly, they now illuminate the road in front of the 4runner!

Perhaps THIS was the reason “stock halogens suck” tired of my morimoto HID kit

Now I hear nothing but praise about the high beams in halogen models. Double duty as DRL but in the BiLED housings the DRL is the only function of the inner reflector housing.

Glad to hear you invested the time - I had seen several complaints about halogens in other headlight threads.

Best time to aim your headlights is at night in the fog.

Toyota does not "ballpark aim" headlights at the factory for any model they produce. They are aimed on precision equipment to exacting standards based on federal lighting standards. That's kind of like saying they "ballpark the torque on head bolts." In fact, every step of the manufacturing and assembly process is very tightly controlled. Even then, every once in a while ...

As for dealers re-aiming headlights, I'm not aware of any dealers having the kind of equipment required to really do precision aiming. Besides, I'd be really worried about having the kid that just messed up my free oil change play with my headlight aiming.

If the dealer also does state inspections, they better have a way to check aim lol

Not too sure about precision aiming each vehicle. Perhaps pre-indexing each headlight adjuster when the housing is made, leaving the true beam angle subject to any inconsistencies in final assembly.

Else, we factory BiLED headlight users wouldn’t keep getting flashed even when using our low beams, even on stock tires, suspension, not even a leveling kit.
