At Max Gross Axle Weight Rating
I went by some CAT scales on the way to a trail this weekend to see my 4Runner's weight.
Full tank of gas with 240lbs in the driver's seat.
Truck weighed 5640 lbs.
3000 lbs on front axle
2640 on rear axle
Of note GAWR is only 3000 lbs for the front axle.
Wow - Maxed out up front and I DON'T have a full bumper, dual batteries or monster tires.
And this is with NO passengers.
On the plus side I am 660 pounds under GVWR, but I need to move weight back if I add more.
Towing / tongue weight I suppose will also shift center of mass back.
Something to think about with future mods.
