Installed RSG Metal Works Rock Sliders This Weekend

First of all, this is a very well-made product. They look really good in close inspection and I don't have any reason to doubt their robustness. They are also true bolt-on sliders and everything lined up perfectly... so installation was a breeze. And I think they look fantastic!

I ordered on 7/27 and they said lead time was 3 to 5 weeks for powdercoated, DOM sliders. The sliders arrived on Saturday (8/29)... so they arrived at just under 5 weeks.

All in all, a good ordering experience even though they failed to answer my question I sent about a week ago asking if they had a more concrete ETA (since I was contemplating on taking a weekend trip--glad I didn't go!). The sliders arrived within their initial estimated lead time!

i have the same sliders. bolted right on with no issues, powder coating holds up very well.

I do have 1 pin hole in 1 weld that is showing surface rust. I just blasted it with flat black paint. not that worried about it.

I like their new skid plate too, i just dont like the riveted on logo/plate. I wish it was just a cutout that said "RSG" in the front center like some of the early prototype skids from them i have seen.

Good to hear they're holding up well!

How do the angled sliders work as a step? I am heavily considering RSG and I need decent step functionality for the wifey. Trying to decide between the angled or non-angled

They are still pretty tall... but they work well enough IMO as a step. They stick out far enough that I can get the ball of my foot on it pretty easily. You almost have to step on it to get on the car if you're on the shorter side--they just get in the way otherwise. I would really be careful stepping on it when it's wet though... that's one of the reasons why I got it powdercoated. It looks good, and provides a little more grip than bare/painted metal.

Do you see yourself dropping on or sliding over any rocks? If so, yes.

Thanks, I’m going to call tomorrow and see if I can change my order. Not sure if it’s too late. I should have done more research before placing it.
