So I did nighthawk low beams. 9011 high beams. And SS3 pro fogs. I’m not mechanical at all and the fogs were a bit of pain in ass, right side especially. Hope they’re somewhat aimed half descent as it will be challenging to aim them now that I got them in there. Was in a hurry so didn’t put the Fog splash guard thingie back on right side As I couldn’t get it to snap back in place.

Also got mounts from SDHQ for top grill 20” light bar. Got cheap Pro Comp single row 20” as it was on sale and lifetime warranty. But didn’t have time to install because fogs took me much longer than planned. And the little clips holding that splash guard above grill, half those plastic clips Broke and don’t hold ugh. Gonna have to get some of those. Hahaha. All rookie errors.

Are you referring to the 13 plastic clips in the radiator cowl? There’s an easy method to get them off, then back on, with no damage.
Push down center button to release.
Pry up the whole clip with screwdriver blade.
Restore the center push pin position, push it up so it’s raised above the rest of the clip body.
Re-install into hole in cowl.
Push the inner button down but only half way.
Done.

Yup!! Now I know why they’re all broke !!! I did it wrong. Really wanted to just pay shop to do my fogs and Light bar because I’m clueless and in a rush to get them on for a weekly mountain drive that’s dark.

What’s the technical name or if you have part number , as I need to order them for when I get time to put light bar on.... then I can actually lock that dust cover down because right now maybe 2-3 and of those clips seem to be working the rest I broke.

My 2020 4R has automatic high beams. Turn on the high beams, press the button and the high beams will auto dim under a variety of conditions listed in the owners manual including on coming traffic and back lights of vehicles you might begin following.

Does anyone need more than high beam while driving on the road?

It has fog lights if you need them.

I think they’re called Radiator cover clips.
I’ve tried googling around for a p/n but there are many similar parts. Better go to a dealer to find the correct part number.

2016 TRD PRO. Yes I need way more lighting than stock. On mountain roads with zero lights from buildings it’s DARK and the stock halogens are garbage. And my fogs were a joke, pulling them out it’s funny they’re so cheaply made. Your fog lights probably are LED from factory now though. Don’t know if your headlights are better than 2016.

The SS3 Pro fogs in daylight look crazy bright but I have to cross fingers are aimed half descent to do the trick for now until I can attempt to aim them better after I see how they are this weekend in the mountains.

Maybe Sunday will attempt the 20” Pro Comp light bar behind grill. Between the SS3 fogs and 20” light bar, even if both aren’t precisely aimed, I’m guessing I’ll be good for my weekly mountain commute.

The 9011 are certainly an upgrade over 9005. The nighthawk low beams seems much “whiter” than stock, but in mountains I can’t tell how much they were an improvement. The 9011 clearly are way better than the 9005 high Beams.

I found the stock 9005s not to have enough throw on the mountain roads I frequent. The 9011s were a nice upgrade and provided all I needed

I’m pretty sure I broke nearly all of them hah. I’ll buy whatever spares you have if we can hookup in next few weeks.

I was just looking at the fogs and I definitely will need to eventually pull them and adjust, the gaps on each side are different, so how I eyeballed mounting the lights to the bracket and tightened them before installing clearly wasn’t even on both sides. The diode dynamics lights seem great but their directions that come with it suck big time. And not easy to adjust by having to take out all over again and play with that bracket.

yea thankfully I have my bumper trimmed so its super easy to access the lights lol

I used these guidelines to aim (the driving lights instructions are off according to some experts but the fogs are good)

Wish my bumper was trimmed ! Looks really nice and would be easier to adjust those things. Haha. Just don’t have time to go to that shop you suggested as they’re a solid hour and a half away from me.

Thanks for revealing that part number. Toyota parts often have non-intuitive names. On the McGeorge website it’s called a “Sight Shield Clip”.
