From RotopaX, RototraX Recovery Boards

seems to be new recovery boards from rototrax, $100 MSRP. recovery boards that can attach to rotopax mounts.

with such an aggressive price point, im wondering who they're catering to, considering x-bull, maxsa, etc have the segment locked up.

maybe an american made budget alternative to the expensive guys?

thoughts?

RototraX Traction Boards BLACK

Quote:
RototraX are manufactured with the same high durability plastic and manufacturing technology as RotopaX. With great durability and a fair price point, RototraX are an excellent upgrade to your offroad or overland vehicle. Various colors coming soon! 100% Made in the USA!!

I have had success with my Xbulls and love the price but do like how these can attach to my extra rotopax mounts! hmmm.........

I am in the market for some tracks. O was asking about the overland depot ones becuase they come in red and orange and are the same price but don't use the roto adapter. I just got a LFD rear bumper and I am looking to add a roto pacx along with my hiLift, this changes everything. Does anyone actually have them to see how they are. I live at the beach so I would think these would be real handy

I actually have 4 but I doubt I’ll be using them anytime soon. I had X-Bulls prior and I can say these feel of quality. Are they better or as good as Maxtraxx? Doubt it but I did like the price point and the ability to use my existing rotopax mounts.

Can you post pics of them mounted. I am thinking about going with a 3 gal fuel and 2 tracks.

Unfortunately they are currently mounted to my spare tire on my rear bumper. Im making a lot of changes on my 4Runner and I’m not sure where I’ll permanently mount these when I’m done

Wonder if the spacing on the holes is the same as two rotopax joined together?

I’ll post some later today. Essentially, I have ROK Straps holding them onto the spare (with steel cable lock)

Yes, it was one of their marketing points. It should be the same as two 2 gallon or one 4 gallon

YouTube

Good video comparing different traction boards. I think they will all work well the first couple uses, just long term durability is the difference.

love his videos, wish he still did em. funny how all of the serious durability/long term reviews are all from australian dudes, lmao. shout out ronny dahl!

i guess my biggest question would be the long term durability, as rotopax is implying their quality is better than the cheap chinese counterparts.

Thanks for the pics, do you have 4? I ordered 2, I might order 2 from overland depot also so I have 2 black and 2 orange and since I am going to userotopax fuel cans they should mount up easily.

Yes I have 4 and they stack pretty well. I do not think as compact as Maxtraxx tho...
