Suspension creaking from P to D or to R.

Is this normal? Suspension creaks when going into Drive or Reverse. I didn't notice it on my 19, but I am on my 20. Sounds almost like an old truck running leaf springs. I searched but came up with a bunch of threads that seemed irrelevant.

Also, click sound when coming to a stop, or initial move when shifting into drive or reverse. Sounds like brake pad retaining clips?

Thanks for the help.

My 2019 does the creaking but only when I start it up first thing in the morning. My 2011 did the same thing.

I don't get the clicking though. But if mine sits in my driveway for a couple days then at first start it rattles for about 2 seconds. Not sure what this is all about but sounds like if you put something in fan blades.

My '19 had a click when coming to a stop as well. I had the front pads and caliper pins replaced. I believe they said that the pins were out of tolerance and causing the pads to shift slightly during braking.

Mine has been creaking since the day I bought it 2019 OR .. wouldn't worry about it.

One thing that did scare me was breaking to a full stop on a incline and then pressing the gas. It feels like the car is gonna break apart. Apparently it's just the ABS system doing its thing.

I might need to check the Pads/Caliper Pins on mine. I’ve noticed a clunk type noise after first moving backwards when the car has sat for a while. It will do it a few times if I brake/let off/brake again. Has been driving me crazy Suspension creaking from P to D or to R.

Thanks! I remember my 19 doing it, but I don't feel like it did it constantly. This one feels like its all the time.

Interesting. Thanks for letting me know. It definitely sounds like something happen from the weight shift and your experience sounds spot on for me too. I guess I have to bring the vehicle in.

Oh really? Thanks for sharing. I haven't had the creaks from anything without leaf springs before.. and another body on frame.

Yeah thats an odd one. You have to toggle between brake and gas really well. Its almost like you're driving a manual on a steep incline. Odd.

Ditto this. My 2011 I had to grease the zerks every oil change once I hit over 80K miles or so.

Thanks everyone. Seems semi-normal. I want to take the car in for a few of these smaller nuisances but fear the dealership touching my car. They haven't proven very good with the limit experiences I have had.
