How much difference in Caster is ok?

I had my alignment done today at a shop I normally go to, however they seem to have made some personnel; changes.

Somehow they couldn't identify I have adjustable UCA's and told me I would need new ones to get my caster closer to the same on each side. This after I specifically asked them to make sure caster was around 5 degrees. So now I have the left at 4.8 and the right at 5.5 anything to worry about?

The right side has higher caster by about .5* degrees to my knowledge yours is .7* so little high. If the vehicle is pulling then get them to fix the caster.

That’s a lot of difference, about what I had before switching to the SPC UCA’s and it pulled noticeably with that much difference.

Caster to 5? Going up another tire size?

No, Same size, 285/75 (The St Maxx in 285/75 are pretty tall at 34.1") however, I know it won't rub at that amount of caster. The 305/70 also fit without rubbing at 5 degrees.
I'm honestly surprised they could get it up to 5.5 degrees. I guess I didn't realize the SPC UCA's had that much adjust-ability built in. I don't think I've heard of another brand that can go that high.

Just installed some DK upper arms on a 2\1 lift the other weekend. Got alignment and got 5.4 driver, and 5.7 passenger caster. Was hoping to fit 285\70\17s on 17x8 -10 offset 4.1 back spacing. Tried on my friends wheels which are 17x8.5 -10 offset, not sure what back spacing is on those wheels. He's running KM3s in 285\70\17, and I was still rubbing on the body mount

That's good to know that DK's will get that high. Even with my caster as high as it is I have a BMC to ensure no rubbing. Is your body mount chopped? My wheel offset on 9" wheels is +1 fwiw

No BMC. Was hoping to avoid if I could. I'm thinking I might have a chance to barely clear 285s mounted on my wheels being that my friend's wheels were half inch wider with same offset. So I'm thinking my wheels should give me about quarter inch more clearance ? Yea, I was surprised to get that high of caster angle with the DKs, but I think it has to do with that I'm only lifted 2inches upfront. I'm thinking the caster angles would drop into the 4s if I were to go up another inch upfront. So far it drives really good. tracks super straight at highway speeds

Seems like there is no crown in the road here in Colorado. There is fresh pavement which lasts exactly one winter. Then there is the rutted out, pot holes from the plowing, mag chloride, and huge temp and humidity swings. Haha

I dont think it's a huge deal if the pulling doesn't bother you! If I had your numbers I would actually get them to dial the 5.5 back to the 5 you wanted to get the numbers a little closer, while still not rubbing. As long as you are clearing body mounts at compression I wouldn't worry necessarily about the number. Having the caster numbers a little closer will definitely help your sanity while driving on road.
