Well Ill be damned they reused the original housing haha. Crammed a low beam projector in there and called it a day. Can we get some beam shots please?

don't know if I will get them today. Its fricken hot out, its my day off and just came to do some paperwork. Our state is on "lockdown", dealership closes at 6pm as well. Might be able to snag one if its being detailed.

Yeah no worries, thanks for being so quick to posting this up. You solved a big mystery for a lot of us. I think this is the first time I've seen a manufacturer "upgrade" headlights in a model year without changing any of the design elements. They are really squeezing every bit out of the 5th gen

So does it look like they put an LED bulb in the existing projector housing? how about the high beam?

With regards to the photo showing the wiring, the black plug looks to be connected to the high beam bulb. That means the low beam bulb is more to the right - could you please snap a photo more to the right to show what it looks like in that area? Any idea of the purpose of the white plug with the red/black wires? Unless I'm mistaken, I don't recall seeing the white plug on my 2019.

I'm still game. Better they do it than I trying to use a dremel and soldering irons.

No, they installed a new LED specific projector in there which is good. However, I am not hopeful that its going to be a stellar performer. Most decent LED headlights have multiple projectors or reflectors to provide usable lightting

It’s a LED projector with a skin to make it look better and more circular in the original housing. The level of effort here is kind of laughable, but you also can’t blame them based on age and the looming 6th gen.
Thanks for the pics. Most curious to see light output and cutoff pics.

Cramming an LED projector into an existing headlight housing on a 12 year old chassis in a desperate attempt to attract customers.
-or-
Doing a shitty boob job on an old cougar in a desperate attempt to attract young mates.
Who did it better?
