Clearance Height?
I'm currently looking for a new place and want to make sure my soon-to-be-arriving 4Runner will clear the garage. My plans are a 2"-3" lift on 285/70/17 tires and a roof rack with light bar. The rack will probably be a Prinsu or Gobi (the smaller version). Does anybody with a similar setup happen to know a rough clearance height that I can use as a reference? Thanks in advance for the help.

The roof rack is what will push you over the edge most likely. My 4runner has a 3/2" lift with LFD roof rails which only add 1" of additional height, and I can still fit into 6'8" parking garages. I'm sure if I went for a full replacement rack, I probably wouldn't fit anymore.

It depends I think. I'm on 34's with a 2 1/2" ish lift front and rear and I run the ARB roof rack which is very tall (7" off the roof I believe) and I just fit into my 7' garage door opening with a 1/4" to spare. That being said I don't go in 7' parking garages for obvious reasons.
Which rack are you looking at?
Edit never mind about the rack question. I know the Gobi is shorter than my ARB but not a lot. I think you'd be tight in parking garages below 7'

Just order a Gobi rack - by the time you get it, you'll be living somewhere else anyway!

I have that exact set-up with a regular Gobi rack (not stealth) and fit into my two car garage with about 3 inches to spare.

I think you'll be in the neighborhood of 6'4" to the top of the OEM roof rails.

I'm 6'3'' ish. Can't be.
My lifted TE with OEM rack is about 6'7'', although I managed to squeak into the SFO parking garage recently so posted clearances might have some wiggle room.

Height OEM according to Toyota is 71.5". Add say 3.5" net for lift and tires and you're only at 75" or 6'3".
I guess someone might have to measure? I'm basing my guess on the fact that I can still fit under the 6'8" garage height at work with my awning on that's about 3-4" tall on the side with 1.5" rear springs. With 2.75" rear coils I can't fit. So I figured without the awning I'd probably be right in the range of 6'4".

14 TEP w/ 285/70/17's, 3" Toytec lift, Rhino Rack - Pioneer Platform which totals 77.5". My garage door is exactly 80" to the trim, so I have a little wiggle room for snow. My rack came with side rails, but they put me over the 80" in my current configuration so have been removed. I don't have a light bar, but if I get one it too will need to be low profile, ideally adding little or no height.

Sometimes people post things that are too accurate... This is one of those times.

Just couldn't resist with the previous comment! However, there was a thread (I think it was here) where a guy raised the header on his garage and added a panel to the door to get the extra height he needed. Might be an option if there is room.
You can also get a little more height (inch or 2 +-) by adjusting cable tensions or springs. I replaced my springs a couple of years ago when one broke and learned a little doing it. Got to be very careful, messing with the springs, if you go this route.

2013 Trail Edition, Icon 3" lift, BFG TA/KO2 285s measures 6 feet 7 and 1/4 inches from the ground to the top of the OEM Trail roof rack.
I literally just measured.
Explains how I squeaked into SFO.
I swear it was almost 6'8" when the lift was new and it had slightly larger overall outer diameter Firestone 285s on it with fatter lugs.

Do you know what the actual clearance of your garage is?
