You’ll never get it to look perfect on your own. But you could clean and prep it then apply primer and touch up paint to protect it from rust until you get a proper professional hood painting. The Dr Colorchip touch up paint works well for small areas.
Another option, depending on where the damage is, may be to prep it so all is smooth then get a vinyl wrap.
