Hardwire Radar Detector?

I don't really want to run and hide a wire from the V1 RD hanging from the bottom of the RV mirror to the fuse box.
Has anyone tapped into the overhead console?
I have a 20 4Runner. The RV Mirror is powered. But, no power plugs in the rear of the mirror housing. I'm guessing the wires are running inside the mirror stem.
I have that silly accident avoidance nanny on the windshield as well. Has anyone popped the back cover of that camera in search of 12V inside?

Just do the Savvy. Its literally 5 minutes. A pillar cover is easy to take off.

Don't even have to remove the cover! And I was running the Savvy for a long time. I was curious if it was "safe" on the vehicle. It was odd how the radar shut down a bit after turning the vehicle off.

I have ran the savvy in multiple vehicles for years. The one on ky 4Runner has probably been an easy 4 years. Not one issue

At OEM rear view mirror.

Blue ignition power which is fused by ECU-IG 2 10amp at drivers side fusebox.
Wht/blk at mirror is ground leading to a OEM ground bolt in drivers kick.

Make sure you guys are using a fused 12V source. I hardwired into my under dash fuse box on my '08 without a fuse and about a year later my cabin filled with smoke very quickly at an ATM one night. The detector power wire had rubbed and dead shorted on a sharp dash bracket under the dash.
