Since SxS allow less experienced people to get out on more difficult trails I’ve seen a lot of old timers and young families out there. They’re nice folks, we smile and wave when passing by, but those damn machines are so annoying and they sound like f’in lawn mowers.

My experience has been quite different, I only see about 25% nice family folks out for a tour, the rest have been heavy pedaled inconsiderate bags of shit with Zero offroad/trail/back-country etiquette. Recently, I pulled over to let this guy pass, he was the uphill traveler, the fkn twat fully roosted me, I assume trying to show off and he nearly crashed into a tree. I agree
@ LandCruiser
and it has been my unfortunate experience, maybe (I hope) it is just a Utah thing.

I'd have to agree in general. Family or not, most I have seen on SxS are idiots with no trail etiquette or respect for others. Not just in Utah either as I'm in Colorado and I've experienced it all over the mountain West.

As a hunter, I truly detest those g0dd@mned things. Its always right as a nice buck walks out in front of you that one of those dipsh!ts comes roaring up to survey the area to see if any deer happen to still be standing there after the loudest thing in the woods just rolled up. They generally look around for about 5 minutes wondering where all the deer are, then drive away to annoy someone else. I wouldn't mind limitations on them in certain areas and during certain times of the year (hunting season). end rant...

You know Toyota has a hydrogen powered car on their site. Been there for years. It’s called the Mirai.

Certainly didn’t mean to derail to a crap on SxS thread, but by the fervor of the responses it is obviously a problem with more than just me.

Sadly, yes it gets my goat. I have always tried my best to be respectful of those around me... that is something that just seems to have gone out the door. Seems the GoPro/drone/insta era has turned everyone into a look at me and forget the common sense. Gees I am turning into an ole codger
Back to landcruisers, maybe in 2022 we could actually buy a 70 series left hand drive in the states?

I was looking at the LC's yesterday. $85-90k! Damn that's a lot. 3 year old models with 100k miles were asking $50k.

Burp.
That and $8.00 will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks.

It seems that Toyota has notified its dealers that it will release the next Land Cruiser 300 in April next year. It will be the first generation change in 13 and a half years.
The next model will be developed by adopting Toyota's new concept of car making, "TNGA", and the power unit, suspension, 4WD mechanism, etc. will be completely renewed while inheriting the frame structure.
The powertrain is expected to discontinue the current 4.6L V8 gasoline engine and replace it with two types, a 3.5L V6 turbo & hybrid and a 3.3L diesel turbo.
The younger Land Cruiser Prado is scheduled to undergo a full model change after the fall of 2022."

Unless this is an international site.

Surprising to hear this. I thought the LC was dead in America ha. I'd imagine the V8 would have to go and take on the variant of the Tundra's (supposedly) new engine...

Yeah, why make a new generation then offer it for only one year? I guess we’ll find out in six months or so.
