We have 4Runners here, because, you know, it's a 4Runner forum and not a Land Cruiser one...

Most recent info suggests LC300 will not be sold in north america market. Land Cruiser name will likely come on something else for North America, like a sub-model 4Runner or a modified 4Runner platform sibling.

Or a Rav4 - Adventure - TRD OFF ROAD - Land Cruiser Edition. As seen below. But based on the new Sienna hybrid.



Supposed spy shots suggest it's actually just a mild refresh with possibly new engine options.

LC300 would hint a much more than a refresh.

It seems like it should be. I'd bet those are really just a facelift 200 due to the 300 delay. But who knows?

Top pic looks like a larger Rav4. I hope that's not the case. The bottom picks are of LCs from the middle east. They have a different body kit/rims that the N.A. models

Ill keep my eye on them, but it all comes down to what they price them at and if they are in demand in the used market.

4Runners are priced a bit high, IMO, but hold their value fairly well as long as it isnt beat up.

The latest version of the LC was ~80K or 90K give or take. Usually higher with options. At that price, with the ancient luxury items, and the horrible MPG... Nobody wanted them used even if there was someone silly enough to buy it new. Especially when the current 4runners were basically the LC in terms of original market space.

Have they even announced the NA version yet?

Anyone who must have at reliable LC overlander can import a 25 year old J70 nowadays. Sizable aftermarket options, lots of places have them ready for export. If I wasnt lazy, that may be on my list.

Lower pic is supposedly 2021 MY SL200's in Japan. If that's true - I think it means that 2021 will not be the LC300 or if it is, it's a mild facelift. The biggest reason that I think it's a LC200 is that it still has 5 lug wheels. All of the test mule Tundras running around with the TNGA B platform have returned to 6 lug wheels. I expect to see the LC300 also return to using 6 lug wheels.

However - most reports lately suggest the LC300 will not come to north america. IIRC the quote from Toyota was something like "USA dealers want the Land Cruiser nameplate, not the vehicle."

I guess you never looked at the used LC market in the US then. New, the 2020 sells for 79k. A 2016 sells for 63k - and it sells....

Too much expensive luxo shit on the LC200 to make me buy one.

65k would be the most I'd pay for a TLC.

With the Bronco coming, not sure what off road centric vehicle Toyota plans to field, if any.
