Canada lift kit suppliers?

Hey guys,

Just got my '21 TRD Off-Road last night, super stoked.

Looking for recommendations to order something in Canada. In particular I'm looking at the Toytec BOSS kit.

Cheers

Have a look at Elka. Canadian made and Aluminium body so wont rust. Krave Automotive in Calgary are a dealer.

If you're going to wheel your rig, definitely get something better than the toytec junk.
I've run bilstein and Radflo on my 4r, just in the process of working with Elka to spec out an et/lt setup with correct valving to suit my needs.
As mentioned, Krave in Calgary is a dealer, but I haven't had a great experience with those guys though, so even though I'm in Edmonton, I'm working with Baja North out of Kamloops. So far they've been great to deal with and very responsive

Doesn't take a rocket appliantist to bolt a lift and a bunch of overlander accessories on to a truck that's brand new off the lot.

Have a look at their online store, the amount of unnecessary crap that they try to bundle together with their suspension packages is outrageous and adds hundreds of dollars to each above and beyond Elka's msrp

The krave price includes labour (takes about 4 hours to install the shocks as a DIY), but they also bundle in cheap OME springs, junky spc lca's, and diff drop by default with no option to remove, and then they want to charge you an extra $70 to put anti seize on the alignment bolts, then more for extended bump stops and they recommend a $400 cv bushing upgrade ($60usd from ecgs for the part, 30 min to install). Mysteriously though, no option for adjustable rear links or extended brake lines (maybe the markup isn't high enough?) which are necessary to take advantage of the extra wheel travel.

No thanks.

No thanks.

I’m currently buying a bumper, winch and lights through them. They have been great in correspondence. I did look at the suspension installs. I’ve read loads of posts stating the diff drop isn’t needed and in fact it doesn’t even lower the diff just the mounts.

Last time I was shopping, toytec was selling bilstein stuff with their springs and shock perches. Elka is still relatively new to the market and weren't making suspension components for trucks yet.
If they're doing stuff for toytec now, cool, but then why not just buy from Elka rather than from a US reseller?

I think this is a really good point. Years ago I had a Toytec setup with what I now know were rebranded Bilstein struts. One of the struts blew at 6,000 miles 1 year 6 days after install. 6 days after the warranty expired and they refused to do anything about it. Said I abused it.

I'd buy direct from Elka before I went Toytec

Cause they told me to go through ToyTec.

Theres a reason, very few places sell radflo.. Theres a reason overland warehouse went out of business, they only sold radflo lol, THEY SUK. Ive had / have toytec on all my 4runners, a 1999, 2004 and now a 2007 they have been awesome, never had any issues.
