Homelink Stopped Working

I went to close my garage door with Homelink yesterday and it didn't work. On my return, it wouldn't open either. I tried resetting with the garage door remote, no luck, tried rolling code instructions, no luck. I'm not seeing any blue lights on the Homelink either. I'm wondering if a fuse has blown but why, out of the blue would that happen? Anyone else had this happen to them?

Oddly, I just had this happen last week. Spent 3 days trying to get it to work again and gave up for a couple days after doing all of those things. Randomly went and reset it a few days later, paired with the the remote and all back to normal.

As I remember, programming homelink involved pressing the "learn" button on the door motor and pressing one of the homelink buttons in the 4R and didn't involve the garage door remote. I also remember that I had to be fast or it didn't work. I used the procedure in the manual; which didn't mention you didn't have much time to get that done. Took me a couple of tries. I suppose you could have lost that programming and need to redo it. You might try using another button in the 4R - my 2013 has 3.

It's weird because I'm not even seeing any lights on the Homelink when I press the button, It's supposed to flash quickly, then slowly, then solid. Nothing.

Depends on the garage door motor, I was able to use Homelink to "learn" my remotes without ever having to touch the garage door motor

There are two generations of Homelink garage door openers. How you reprogram depends on which generation you have. There are instructions for both on the Homelink web site.
