Sent a note to 4Runner Lifestyle (who I bought it from) and Meso Customs about the issue. We'll see what they say.

Debating which I want to do. The local key cut place wants $25 to cut. Ace Hardware is $5 but I'm worried about quality like other guys mentioned.

I got the blank cut, went to Walmart, the quality of the cut is not great but it works. I'll probably grind the factory key down when I'm bored.

Found a local key shop that did it for $4.
The flip part of the fob seems a little loose fitting and the key itself isn't fully centered in the locked away gap so it can catch.
I guess I had higher hopes for the whole thing since it cost me $85 for everything.
It nice but not sure yet if I would do it again for what I know now.

Just put mine together yesterday. Had my local Ace Hardware cut the blank after I removed it from the fob hinge (loosening the set screw.) I was worried the cut wouldn't be good, but it works fine... and was free at that, since I didn't need to buy a blank from ace.
The fob itself is about what i expected. No complaints on quality of construction. I wish the buttons had a bit more tactile feel to them, otherwise it's just muscle memory to get used to the new buttons.
The transponder was a PITA to get out of the old key. I had to completely demolish the old key to get it out, not that it is good for anything without the transponder.
One thing though, mine only came with the "bottle opener" ring attachment point. I have seen a video that shows two choices, one making use of the entire indention at that end for a key ring. I would have rather used that, as I drink cheap beer with twisties, so no caps for me.
I bought it on a lark, was it worth the money? No, not really, i never thought much of the old key, as I hang my keys on a carbiner, so it never was in my pocket to take up space. If I kept my key in my pocket, maybe it's more useful, but not for the price. Neat gimmick though.

Mine also came with 2x bottle opener attachments. Its supposed to be 1x bottle opener and 1x key ring. Try emailing them - they shipped me the missing key ring portion right away!

It doesn't seal up when you put the screws in?

Damn didnt see that before. I would really only be changing the panic to red and maybe the lock button or unlock to just stand out from the other.
If someone buys the kit I'll pay for a stamp for one button.

It does. I tested it on both of mine today.
My case looks like above until you tighten the screw enough to close the case. You can also make the seams match very close to flush when tightening them.
Someone said these are 3D printed....they are not. Injection molded.
Both of my flip fobs are complete with zero missing parts or mfg issues.

I wish I'd have seen them before so I could have ordered at the same time as the fob.

Here's what it looked like when I put the screws in. They are tight as can be.
